Thanks for sharing this! Often we only see the positive side to mods, the negative side hardly people talk about. I have ordered fuelX lite for my 250, what i dont like about this product is there is no designated place to put the damn thing you can place it wherever you like underneath the seat. Also i am not sure about the water resistance. This product was developed in bangalore, India. The guys at race dynamics developed it in a year and half, this raises further questions, how they got the product designed, fine tuned, fixed for bugs all in 1 and half years. Overall it doesnt look like a very promising product if you want to keep for a very long time.

Can you recommend any PNW mechanics that are familiar with these trucks? My wife and I are on a summer long road trip and we’ve been running into a few issues. Air brakes, CTIS, and transmission controller to name a few. We’ve been able to work through some and keep the trip rolling. However, with limited tools and campsite workspaces I’d like to possibly have someone else take a look. Any input is appreciated.

I do all of my own work. You won't find anyone in particular to work on these since they are such a rarity. It is best to do all of your own work. The only time I ever had anyone work on Abel was when I did my turbo upgrade so they could set the fuel rack properly. When you buy one of these trucks expect to be the person doing the repairs on it. Consider selling it if you are unable to do so.

Funny you install a pre-filter to increase the filtering and then install a DNA sudo-filter which allows over 20 times (TWENTY TIMES) more particles into the engine than the cheapest, nastiest no-name regular filter. Watch Project Farm test of air filters where a K&N sudo-filter (exactly the same as this DNS) is tested.

My dealership said to take it to an authorized service tech for the first “620 mile” service. They would set the service interval to the normal 4-5k interval, make the shift light accessible to me to change, and whatever else. Then after that I could do the service work myself. If it were me I would not want that service light coming in every 600 miles.
