In the layer settings check the image mode you are using , turn it to dither, also zoom in close and make sure its not there but your not seeing it.

Hey man im trying to start a local business and i have this machine to start out and im using these cards. Im using Photoshop.. im trying to figure out: tye best settings in Photoshop to run on this machine, (settings from image-r etc, the fastest most efficient settings for black and white buisness cards, the correct dpi of this machine, the correct calibration and so on to print high resolution cards for people. Oh yeah, I'm also finding different information about the actual laser mm so I can focus it correctly. My goal is to run big batches with the frame extension kit they sell. Also, how do you reset the z axis if you accidentally bump it in light burn?

yes he cut the hole in the body then cute the circle to fit around it and i etched it with my C02 laser.

Thank you very much for your video! How do you manage to place your laser so precisely in the middle of the second cross? I've tried positioning my red pointer in the middle by pulsing it. My second cut is always off by 1 or 2 mm on one side or the other.

slow the speed of the laser head down and just keep moving the red dot until your right in the center of your cross, the closer you are the closer the design will be . Thank you

@@carphotography Did it with 1 mm accuracy. I'm right in the middle of the cross because the red dot is hides in the engraving. But still, when I do my second cut, it's always off.

Thank You for demystifying the whole thing. I was watching some other guys video and he was doing all the complex math to do it- it was way too confusing. And then you pop up and bam bam bam you whipped up a bunch of cooler ones.

Hi, how do you "weld" for example the small dot of letter i? I cannot weld so when I try to laser cut, the small dot of letter i was cut separately.

there is a slider up the top that sayd WELD , make sure you have that turned on, make sure you are on the text tool.

At about 4:20 you showed the air assist air valve fully closed which, IF you read the directions, tells you that your WILL damage the air pump when the pump is running and the valve is OFF/CLOSED. To help the air pump have a longer life HaHa, Longer, it would be better to just disconnect the airline, OR, turn off the air in LIghtburn, for times you do not want/need airflow.... Just say'in...

Awesome, i had it just over 3 years now and it has been perfect , once you get into 2" or thicker wood it can struggle a little but it cuts so clean it is not a problem to cut half from each side .

Imag-r takes the photo and dithers it , creating small dots the laser can understand better, make sure if you put your image in imag-r that when you etch it you set your lightburn settings to pass through and dont use an image mode like dither as it will then be double dithered .

i have seen the file get corrupted as it is sent over, if you send to the laser first you can check on that screen and make sure it looks good and then it is already in the laser memory. thats my understanding :D
