I keep finding beautiful stories about the cultural revival. That is indeed wonderful. Brought tears to my eyes. Still, I want to hear more about the science. This seems like a great example of ancient tools enabling the same science as modern tools. Like people who relearn ancient construction engineering techniques. The crew's ability to read the ocean fascinates me. If that amazing skill is a revival, I can only imagine what has been lost. How much can we learn about how marine animals navigate from watching how humans do it?

I hope people know that much about it… nonetheless, it’s spread like wildfire, just as many hardy species of plants have, globally. I’m not sure of its affect on Hawaiian ecosystems though, good or bad or neutral.
