Insert this before the move in your program and in the dropdown select “New message” and give it a unique name. Then pick a “When I receive [message1]” start block and place it anywhere on the programming canvas (preferably next to the broadcast message block) and select the unique name. Then you can add the action you want to perform in parallel. You can use wait blocks or adjust the speed for either action to get the timing right. We also suggest to add a “stop [all]” block at the end of the parallel action and change the dropdown to “this stack”. Let us know if you need more help. ⚙️⚙️

Hi, is there a penalty if the robot, at the end of 2.30 minutes, does not return to the base? Is the score you achieved in this video for mission 9 valid? Thank you very much for the clarifications😊
@6006TechWarriors21 күн бұрын
@@HELLO-io9st Hi. The robot does not have to return to home at the end of the match and can be anywhere on the table. You can use this strategically to “park” the robot in a spot that is convenient for the match. On page 19 of the robot game rule book, in section 24 it states: “When something is required to be “completely in” an area, the lines and airspace above that area count as “in” unless otherwise mentioned.” Since there is no other requirement mentioned other than “If the unknown creature is at least partly in the cold seep”, our solution for that part of the mission is valid. hi, I've been having a lot of trouble with the raise the mast part when you get the treasure... because I can't find anything that seems to work, can you explain how your solution works in this videa?
@6006TechWarriorsАй бұрын
@OceanWing1444 Certainly. But first we must ask if you are resetting the mission model so that the Kraken’s arms are resting on the grey axle in the shipwreck and get lifted up to a certain point when lifting the shipwreck up by the two yellow handles? If you do, then it should work how we show it. The outer part of the attachment has beams mounted at a 45 degree angle to lift up the two yellow handles to raise the shipwreck and therefore the mast. Within that outer frame we mounted a cage that reaches under the kraken’s arms before they fall and pivots up over the curvature of the treasure chest. The cage prevents the kraken’s arm to come all the way down and it pivots back down behind the treasure chest. With the correct distances between the outer frame and inner cage and the correct distance driving the attachment into the mission model this should raise the mast to its scoring position and grab the treasure chest. Let us know if you need further help. ⚙️⚙️

It's hard to tell from the video if this applies, but the reef segments have a No Equipment Constraint. The rulebook says "“No equipment may be touching any part of this mission model at the end of the match to score for this mission.” Do existing models not count as "equipment"? It seems like this is in gray area given it looks like you're pushing them out with the shark and leaving them pushed out against the model and the shark.
@6006TechWarriorsАй бұрын
@@sloatv9993 Very good observation. “Equipment” is anything the team brings to the match and what is getting used during the robot match. Mission models are not considered equipment, therefore the shark is allowed to touch the reef segments and the reef segments can touch each other. The carrier we built for transporting the shark to its habitat by the shipwreck is made so that the shark prevents the reef segments from touching the carrier. We have studied the rules of the robot game every year for 11 seasons and have sent emails to FIRST for rule clarifications frequently mostly to get our interpretation of the rules confirmed (we asked about mission 6 “Raise the Mast” this year and they put out a challenge update for it), our coach volunteers as a referee at local qualifiers and State competitions and we are confident that our interpretation of the rules is accurate. If you try this solution at your competition and get questioned about it, just be prepared to point to the rule about what counts as equipment and involve the head referee. Let us know if you encounter any problems with this. Good luck. ⚙️⚙️
