You shouldn't really count most of these as AI projects since all you are really doing is just an API call to openAI...
@thecodebendermaster22 күн бұрын
I just dont rly know to call them, app that uses AI = AI app? In the common language and on X, that's how people call it. It's like the new role "AI Engineer" which has nothing to do with machine learning, but is more about using AI APIs and the tooling around it (langchain, vector db, etc.). I personally don't like this naming cause it's confusing, but that's the most common one I have found and it's gaining a lot of popularity. That's probably what a lot of devs will end up calling themselves in the future.

After watching this video i was disappointed of your video. AI is mashine Learning, Deep Learning Pytorch, Tensorflow
@thecodebendermaster23 күн бұрын
You made the same comment on another video. What you are describing is AI in the more traditional sense. That's not what most engineers will do. With the emergence of LLMs and these APIs, the majority of engineers will just be using them and all the tooling around it (langchain, vector databases, agents, etc.). This is what this video is about.

The joke is, that all these benchmarks which are posted on the AI developers own website, are completely biased, pointless and irrelevant. Microsoft's benchmarks claim that Gemini is outperforming everyone else, Meta claims Llama is outperforming everyone else, OpenAI claims ChatGPT is outperforming everyone else, and X claims Grok is outperforming everyone else. Once they're released, the real world benchmarks always look a lot different. They all cherry pick their own data which results in biased benchmarks. Never trust benchmark results if they're posted by the developer of the AI itself.
@thecodebendermaster27 күн бұрын
Good point. Grok actually doesn't outperform GPT on every benchmark they present, that's why I thought it looked more credible, but I agree, we have to take it for what its worth either way. The best comparison between models I have found is on this huggingface space: chat.lmsys.org/?leaderboard
@hadex66628 күн бұрын

@thecodebendermaster29 күн бұрын
Hard to say man, for sure AI will change the world. The question is, will it impact you positively or negatively? I think we all have to prepare to be ready for it (learn AI tools, build valuable skills, problem solving, social skills, grow your network, save money, etc.)
@xraylife29 күн бұрын
Don't worry about the next generation - that's why they introduced the clot shot one year before...
@user-hs3rp6ri4x28 күн бұрын
There should be a boundary between "normal" and "excess". Excess of anything is bad. Was online videos, online games, social media not enough now this AI LLM stuff has introduced additional time grabber. In the whole, the monster has crept slowly into our lives and destroying the very rhythm of it. Was life bad 10 or 15 years back than it is today ?
@thecodebendermasterАй бұрын
What are your thoughts on Grok?
@LRSKWTKWSKАй бұрын
Not worth the try for more complex stuff. It is constantly stuck in loops. Waste of time.
@thecodebendermaster14 күн бұрын
yeah for complex stuff it won't work well, too expensive for now. I think these agents will become really useful once GPT5 comes out
@quincy1048Ай бұрын
tried the vs code extension....hit paywall...tried the cli tool with local models and nothning but endless loops before any project made it to the first test. Anybody see this type of thing...what local models might work best with this...I tried a bunch...it's interesting to use lmstudio to load a local model and see what this is actually doing between the agents and the LLM.

to become an AI developer, what's the level of mastery for maths behind the ML & DL algorithms should we know? many thanks
@thecodebendermasterАй бұрын
For most cases, none. You just need to know how to use the APIs, you won't be building new models yourself unless you have some very specific requirements. It's the same for software engineering, most engineers don't need math, they just need to be good at problem solving skills (which you can train through many different ways, math is just one way). However they are engineers who need math more heavily like if you work in statistics, ML, etc. but that's not the majority. Hope this helps!

@thecodebendermasterАй бұрын
In the near future, I agree with you. Even Devin that got so much hype, is no where near to replace any engineer right now. However 5-10 years down the line, I think the conversation will be very different
@AttariEditorsАй бұрын
Why I see that all AIs are fast? How are they slow?
@thecodebendermasterАй бұрын
Well it's relative to your use case haha For simple chats, its fast enough. But when you want it to do something complex or something that needs a long response, you need to wait for the AI to create the whole response which can take up to a minute in some cases. When it comes to AI agents, the issue is that they perform a lot of cycles in order to accomplish the task, so that can take several minutes, and when you are building an app, make users wait for a while is not good
