There were actually 2 F/A-18E super hornets that were painted as Maverick's "hero jet." Bu No. 165536 and 165667. 165536 is tail 5 for the blue angels, 165667 has been spotted as both tail 4, 5, and 6 for the blue angels. As for the F/A-18F, it never went to the blue angels. 165796 stayed at NAS fallon after filming. Whether or not it still has the same paint job is anyone's guess.

I was there from 93-95. If you go to the old MALS-11 Powerplants building, in one of the offices there are two murals I painted in mint condition. It was years ago that I went there. The museum people drove us to the building. Opened the door and there they were! He said they were going to try to salvage those two walls and get them to the musuem. Don't if they ever did, but it was very nice to have seen them again. My wife and kids were with me so it was extra special.

If i remember correctly, the 'one man can make a difference' drive away was only on season 1

You would think with neighbors that close by somebody must’ve heard some of those shots going off along with the screaming and might’ve called the police but then again it’s LA snitches get stitches.

Never found the statues cause I keep thinking is the same plaza as T&K but is right next door. Most of the statues are gone but a few remain. Worth a visit.

I went to see the house today... It was so cool. Just a heads up if anyone goes there. It's a winding road and there's no where to park. I parked on a neighbors driveway and took a few pictures and left.
