I had one polar blue cichlid and finally found another and put the new one in with my other one. Literally 24 hours later they had dug out a hole underneath an overturned flowerpot and were ferociously guarding it. I verified there were eggs in there and within a the week the babies hatched. It’s without a doubt the quickest and easiest breeding of any fish I’ve ever seen. They are also extremely fun and personable fish.

Do the white ones still turn red when mating

How are they with plants? Or even hydroponic plants like peace lily roots being in the tank?

I have one his/her don't know yet got it yesterday name is Chibi Antonio Lesley Albrey Sashimi Johnson but I just call it ChibiSashimi

I am super amazed at these cichlids!! I have had blood parrot cichlids for a long time. Although the last one of my parrot fish died recently and I was very sad!! I think the oldest one that I had lived for about 13 years! I love these parrot fish..they are adorable!!
