And that's why all the newer games have Gogeta say "ULTRA Big Bang Kamehameha". It's technically a brand new non-canon move that replaces the original... and still gaslights us into thinking it's a legit part of Gogeta's arsenal? 👀 Because we all assume he CAN if he wanted to, right? 😅

To be fair, most of the Big Bang Kamehameha that are used in the games are the X100 or Ultra, or whatever version of that attack is. And that's the point because if we compare ir with the normal Big Bang Kamehameha it's pretty clear the difference. Just compare how that attack in Budokai 3/Infinite World was like an Special attack and then watch the Ultimate Attack

GT Gogeta is literaly gassed by his design and the video-games. His moves "canonically" suck ass and his personality was completely butchered into this adult Gotenks-type persona just because the writers made him too powerful and didnt want him to beat Omega. If they had given Omega a new power-up all of this could have been avoided (aside from the shitty slide-show animations which also have no excuse given how things such as the SSJ2 Goku VS Kid Buu fight were beautifully animated and those came out way before this)

The 3DS game Dragon ball fusions has a unique spin on this attack, where SSj4 Gogeta charges a sphere like a regular Big bang attack and then fires a kamehameha right into it. It actually looks like the combination of the two attacks.

I still remember this as the worst kamehameha i've ever seen (why tf did they think that was a good idea)

local dragon ball fan finally watches dragon ball; his reaction may surprise you! jokes aside, GT didn't have an entire (extremely well drawn) manga to base it's artwork on, so it's pretty common for big moves to look boneless. Besides, this is NOT the first time the games have turned an attack that did absolutely nothing for the plot into a weighty super move.

Tbh it kinda looks dope and kinda makes sense since its a combination of the big bang amd kamehameha not another generic kamehameha beam(full force kamehameha gets a pass tho) It's like gogeta spawned a big bang and exerted the force of a kamehameha onto it so much it's explosive power turns into a massive energy shockwave that obliterates anything, but ay that's just me

The thing is, it hardly looks like a beam, just like a spicy gust of wind

the difference is that the anime used the normal Big Bang Kamehameha. The ones in the game that look that impressive are 100 times version and exclusive to the games. Big Bang Kamehameha never meant to be a killer finisher as Gogeta never fought Omega Shenron seriously. He was like billions of times stronger and when Omega survived, Gogeta was about to release another one. Kinda like how Final Kamehameha wasn't really a move from the series until Super came out and changed how it even looked. The original Final Kamehameha was yellow with blue lightning. The new one is a blue beam with yellow noodles around it.

Let's not forget everyone, the first and only time Vegito used Final Kamehameha in the anime, it also didn't do shit. 😭

Nope, I've always said the games give this move justice because of how bare-bones it was in the show. As for 100x version I guess it technically would be a what if move since he didn't have a chance to shoot it, but I've always wondered how long he could stay fused after using 100x, if the defused after the second use of the regular version. Back then, we had SSJ2 trunks before he was official in budokai

And then we got Legends with x500 and x1000

Idk I kind of always liked how visually distinct it was from everything else, it doesnt fire the same way or anything. I guess it had its impact on me bc you can still tell just how powerful it is. Nothing significantly injured Omega up until that point.

I feel making Kuriza (Freezer's son) would make so much sense and a safer move without making many explanations on "why didn't this character appeared before". I mean it would be cool If Frieza in the look for a partner to train and fight pair to pair against Goku and Vegeta, not by brute force, but team work as well decided to create a partner: Maybe they can add Fifth form to Kuriza so its more unique.
