Whenever people complain about the ending to LOTR being too long. I feel like they obviously didn't like the movie. After all that you need closure! And to decompress. Frodo's journey isn't entirely done at that point either. And Sam returning home to his wife and kids was a great point to end. The long ending is a feature. Not a chore. If it ended abruptly without an epilogue it would have been very unfullfilling.

I'm with Randall on this one. Lord of the rings is my favourite book and the movie just doesn't measure up to the books. Whole Star wars I've only known the movies.

To be fair at least you can watch the regular lord of the rings movies on dvd and the extended cut. The Star Wars unaltered version you gotta seriously scout for them or pirate them otherwise you got the absolute dog shit special editions. So in terms of availability lord of the rings wins.

I used to like Star Wars, but when Disney came along and bought lucasfilm and now 20th century Fox, they ruined everything. Force awakens was ok when Han Solo appeared but right up until Han Solo got killed, then it sucked. Thank God I didn’t see last Jedi and rise of skywalker too. To me, blade runner 2049 was better than any of the lucasfilm crap from Disney even that piece of garbage Indiana Jones 5 sequel. I’m not too crazy about lord of the rings either. I sat through the hobbit and fell asleep. It was boring. The whole thing is boring.
@Micosanmiguel17 күн бұрын
Ok first off no the hobbit wasn't boring the rings of power was boring ok no hobbit slander its getting old and boring and secondly i am a massive star wars and i love force awakens as a kid and to this day i still have a soft spot for it but i hated the last jedi and was disappointed with rise of skywalker, thank god i didn't see indiana jones 5

Personally I like both trilogies but I'd probably give it to LotR mostly because of how flawed Return of the Jedi was. Han ran out of character arc in Empire and spend half the movie playing with lame puppets and trying to open a door, the pacing/structure was all over the place, and was just not the best conclusion to the trilogy.
