Hello! I just got an MPC Live and updated to MPC 3. Is it possible to merge sequences (songs) into a project? I can't find anything about it.
@AllThatsGone
@AllThatsGone Ай бұрын
@@kalifrn hi. no way that I’m aware of except the hard way- save or export each program and midi track and load/import to the new one. I haven’t done it on mpc but force is similar and I’ve done it there. It can take a few tries to get right and also if you’re at a limit like say both songs already have a drum multi track or 8 audio tracks then you’ve hit a limit and it can be more work.

Is it possible to have a cue mix and preview different sequences without sound going to the crowd?
@AllThatsGone
@AllThatsGone Ай бұрын
It would be easier on Akai Force which has an channel selection knob for the headphones. On MPC you'd have to set the output channel for the track in question to 3/4 and use a headphone amp or an adapter at least on the 3/4 outputs to hear them then switch them back to 1/2 when you want to mix it in. So - not a great solution.

25:48 Can I establish this connection between the Mescaline and AUM on my iPhone 15 with the iConnectivity iConnectAUDIO4+ USB Audio Interface without the use of a computer? Or is there a cheaper alternative? Someone mentioned the Kenton MIDI USB Host Mk3 USB Host to MIDI Converter.
@AllThatsGone
@AllThatsGone 9 ай бұрын
I'm assuming you want to sequence the mescaline from your phone. Check your manual or with iconnect support first but I would imagine you should be able to send LFO or gate as CV through the iconnect. However the iconnect is not 'dc coupled' so there is a high pass filter on the outputs which will prevent you from sending DC and very low frequency signals. A DC coupled interface would be more useful. I have the expert sleepers es9 for this but it's eurorack format. There are other dc coupled interfaces you can search for online or as you suggest a midi to cv converter like probably the CV OCD.
@AllThatsGone
@AllThatsGone 9 ай бұрын
If you're talking the other direction where you take audio from the mescaline into the iphone, i would think you could run the audio output from mesc into your audio interface and record or effect in aum. Mescaline can be a little loud so keep your hand on the volume knob when you first hook it up.

That's a great video man, I got it a few months ago and been messing around almost intuitively between BC's info and the manual, this was very helpful to figure it out better, it's a really nice drum synth. I'm only having one issue and that's with MIDI in for some reason, doesn't receive the clock or anything else really... set the BPM to zero and the Rx set to all, but it doesn't seem to take anything in, do you have any idea what it could be? On the other hand the midi out works perfectly fine
@AllThatsGone
@AllThatsGone Жыл бұрын
Thanks. Are you using USB or 5-pin MIDI? I don't know if I ever used the USB but have used 5-PIN OK. I'll try to think if there's any other tricks for receiving clock.
@noisebrick9248
@noisebrick9248 Жыл бұрын
@@AllThatsGone I was trying with the 5pin MIDI from the keystep, but now I just decided to give it a try with the USB from my laptop and it works great that way... Might just need to open it up and see if the MIDI in is making contact with something or if there's some bad soldering

Sorry you felt that you couldnt talk yo the retina surgeons,i live in UK my surgeon was brilliant he spoke to you whilat doing the surgery and so did the rest of staff in theatre,i never felt a thing and i only had local anaesthetic when having retinal detachment with gas bubble.the last operation was the most painful took three hours and was given a silicone bubble.i have persistent retinal detachment so they are considering leaving the silicone in indefinitely,this is the third op ive had.i have whats been described as looking through a fishbowl vision, i can see shadows and lights. I thought good job i dont have a goldfish i would never be able to see it to feed it.once both eyes are open i can see as long as the black shape and light doesnt appear then i have problems.

Thank you. I’m about 2 weeks into my detached retina experience. I’ve been lucky, I guess in not having as bad a time as you had. I’m a retired knee surgeon - so it was interesting too “see” it from the patient’s perspective. They had to remove my lens, and won’t be able to replace it for about 3 months - which is a bummer.

Can you midi control all 6 voices simultaneously, so I can sequence with the keystep pro externally?
@AllThatsGone
@AllThatsGone 2 жыл бұрын
The LXR in the video is running the BC firmware. Part of what you get with the BC firmware is enhanced MIDI support. The MIDI chart is here - brendanclarke.com/files/LXR/lxr-midi-assign.txt One tip - if you're sending MIDI CC, send only CC values that exist. Meaning- say there are seven possible wave forms and you send CC to select them. Send only 0-6 as a CC value. If you send 7 or higher it will lock up. Something to be aware of.
@AllThatsGone
@AllThatsGone 2 жыл бұрын
I used TouchOSC on an ipad a lot to edit the LXR. This way you can configure TouchOSC to only send values in the possible range (0-6 in my example). A knob on a controller like KeyStep will send all 0-127. For filter or volume and the rest of the full range values, this isn't an inssue.
