Jimmy carr uses a lot of these, he can condense them and rapid fire where you’re still laughing from the last novelty and then boom, he hijacks your mammalian brain once again with a stacked novelty - when you’re jokes are funny, that’s the type of comedy that will make your abs hurt in the morning

Hi Jerry, Where did you use 'Target & Angle' for generating the jokes?
@JaysMusicandArchives4 күн бұрын
He came into a guitar store at West Edmonton Mall, looking hungover as did his crew. I gave him some space in the acoustics section and he pointed at the one he wanted to try, but didn't say a word. A huge fan, I wanted to giggle as he was just like his stage self, observant, reserved of emotion...in the end I asked for tickets and his only words were, "sure".

Louis Ck doesnt write jokes. He comes up with his material as it comes to him or in conversation. He makes a note of the premise and doesnt work the joke out until hes on stage. Pretty ballsey but if your funny in the moment thats actually a good approach. Youre spot on about the over writing... After I write my joke down for the first time, its usually funny but then I overthink the shit out of it. Part of me thinks, the audience wont get it or I keep trying to tag it and it ends up dragging out to long. I have switched from writing to just simply recording my joke's. I fell in love with comedy when I was 10 and heard Sandlers his first album "there all gonna laugh at you". I was fucking obssesed and listened to it repeatedly for weeks. My mom would get pissed cause I played it so much, that I eventually recorded the cd onto a cassette tape and just listened to it on my walkman. I was able to recite the whole album verbatim, same cadence and even sandlers voice. Thats how I practice my material now and it works great. How I say my material is half the joke and I believe it gives the people Im telling the joke to a better indication of who I am. kzbin.info/www/bejne/h4GroXaFoZWIqqssi=odqOfJSSOlvCpsab
