SOS! How do I find racing pigeon's owner? Finally caught to read leg bands. No damn phone number. PLEASE DON'T SAY "AU" MEANS AUSTRALIA!?! We are in Palm Springs, CA Pigeon is using Dodge Ram dualie 350 for his roost here in one of the garages. Is being fed pigeon feed/watered/has shade and open ventilation but there is no AC in garage. RED BAND: LEFT LEG: AU 2022 JEDDS 13495 ORANGE BAND: LEFT LEG: 083 ORANGE BAND: RIGHT LEG: 046 BLUE BAND: RIGHT LEG: IS BLANK - NOTHING ON IT.

I understand common words such as protein, fats, carbs, ect... but these words are not used for pigeon feed accept protein %. Using this video as an example.

Heavy is protein. Energy is corn. Fat is safflower. Light is barley, oats, rice. Candy is safflower, hemp seed, rape seed, sunflower seed.

You may have heard me referring to Jelle Jellema who open lofts them all day and flags them at night. I do occasionally do that but it’s not a requirement to me if I see they’re flying pretty well on their own around the house which they usually are. Flagging is when you force them to fly by essentially scaring them up and keeping them flying with something like a flag. If that’s what you were asking about more specifically.

Very good advice the first person I ever talked to about racing pigeons and bought pigeons from is Frank McLaughlin and I was glad I did call him and still talk to him he has made a world of difference in me getting started in pigeons i got a pair of staff van reets and been in this amazing sport for 4 months now and working my way to having enough breeders to have a nice team next year 🤞🏼🙏🏼🏆🪽🪽🧬
