Great video. Hello from Canada. I just love grubs. Some of the things I like about them are, they are way easier to acquire and keep in good condition opposed to live bait. They work on pretty much every species of fish, you can imitate anything a fish eats with them by changing the colour and how you fish them, you can fish it in almost every way, lots of people don’t throw them so fish are typically not used to seeing them. They work scented or unscented if you have allergies or going into restricted waters. And they are usually pretty dang cheap.

Thanks Colton ! I appreciate it that man, & that’s right you can catch all kinds of species of fish as long as you match the hatch. I really wish a lot of anglers threw them more. It’s a simple lure that can catch the biggest and smallest species of fish.

And heck yeah I’m excited for your new journey in fishing🔥… but I am using a ozark trail OTX medium heavy rod which is 35$ bucks at your local Walmart and my reel is a diawa tatula ct 100 there expensive reels I wouldn’t get that off the back just starting I’ll get abu Garcia combo or lews combo they are cheap but great rods!

It probably won't make it. It was bleeding pretty well. The same thing happens pan fishing while using small hooks for the ones with small mouths.

Honestly bro I use my phone to record & I edited my vids on my phone as well😅I’ve been doing that for the longest but I used to use a GoPro tho.. thinking about getting a new one but the mount I have is called a TELESIN chest mount on Amazon for about 20$.

It’s a bait caster… it’s better to set the hook side ways.. setting the hook up will decrease my hook up ratio and on top of that my rod is always in strike zone so setting the hook like I do actually forces the hook to drive its-self all the way in.

try it with the wacky rig method with the same senko, in my personal opinion those senkos with a wacky rig setup makes the action really stand out.

Okay word I will definitely try that! It sounds really good to get some better bites on because I noticed with the way I fishing that when the bass bite the worm it’s not all the way in there mouth, most of the time I can see them with half of the worm dangling out there mouth and then I miss them half of the time using long worms like those.

@@fishermenjay oh yeah bro forsure, also when you go to set the hook, you want to set the hook with your rod going upward instead of to the side especially when youre fishing with a texas rig, i saw you set the hook the the side and thats probably why you werent hooking them, Side hook sets are great for lures that dont need a lot of force for example like crankbaits and jerkbaits because theyre treble hooks, doesnt take a lot of force, but lures like the wacky rig, texas rig, frog, you need a lot of force to jam those hooks in em! The reel I use is a diawa CT100 and for my rod I use a ozark trail otx pro medium heavy 7ft but when starting out abu Garcia or Lews are pretty good bait casters to start off with.
