The way I’ve been shown is when playing eg Am pentatonic to keep the same shape for C major pentatonic you simply try and emphasise the C root more to give it more C tonality

Man that Tele is fantastic both in sound and looks, I am so tempted to buy one! I have real trouble making the D9, bending my ring finger to cover the three high strings so I end up putting my pinky on the B string and omit the high E.
