Beautiful build! I recently bought a MM Sterling Stingray 4 body and can’t find a neck. How much would you charge to build a right-handed neck in roasted maple?

Your an incredible builder and woodworker I'm soo impressed especially with the neck you made I know how hard that is that's the reason I'm re purposing a old bass neck I had I'm just putting wings on the headstock and cutting out the design Im building a 4001 rickenbacker copy from scratch I'm halfway through it and I don't have a workshop either so I enjoyed this even more

Just found your channel. Any chance that you're still building? I saw your multiscale bass build and wondered if you could make a Strandberg-style headless bass.

you installed the bridge wrong way around, otherwise great build, I'll for sure have to do this as well at some point. Have some design ideas that really are not available from any bigger company

Did you intonate the bass? The sound demo at the start of the video makes it sound like the D-string is way off when you pop the B on the 9th fret

Great video but please take the gloves off at the tablesaw!!! If the glove catches the blade you will have a worse injury than had you not worn a glove, I do see it looks like it's cold. You use adhesive toe warmers on the back of your hands

nice. I'm working my first body build. Lots of challenges. Few tools. Scavenged wood. You obviously have skill. It's great to see such a fine job done WITHOUT a full wood working shop. Would love to see the video of the fret radius jig.

That "lathe" is not heavy. Here's to hoping you have obtained one by now that actually is ;-) and learned how the skew chisel is actually used (spoiler: not as a scraper.)

I just used a black stain/dye. I believe you could also make your own with steel wool and vinegar, you could look into it on youtube. I just bought a black wood stain.

Hi, first of all I have to say that I love your videos and very inspirational. This B1005 is a killer bass and it looks like you took extra care for yours so it probably sounds amazing. I have two questions please if you have the time. First and foremost, did you work with any plans, and is where can I get those? The second question is what pickups did you use. Thank you😊
@PforProject
@PforProject Жыл бұрын
Thank you for your nice comment! I made my own plans, but since it's a copy of an existing model I don't think I can legally share plans. I really just copied, traced and printed the general shapes from images online. You can get the image scaled correctly by measuring the scale length. From bridge to nut, if that length is good, the rest is to size as well. The pickups are Fishman Fluence 5 string bass pickups. They're basically plug and play and you can really customise the sound.
