I live in Florida, and I somehow stumbled across this obscure video. I've never been to Iowa, yet I found this video super cool and interesting! Never thought I'd be interested in the history of Iowa City.

Astonishing that this has survived to the present day, almost fifty years later. Irving himself was 77 at the time.

Trying to stomach the 1st 2 speakers enough to listen to the rest of the propaganda. The anger and hatred towards Jews and Israel is revolting and, from what I've heard so far, unjustifiable. No history of the area, no recounting of Palestinian beliefs and aggression. Right to return? What a joke. No mention of Israeli citizens raped, babies burned alive, whole families slaughtered, etc. A fair representation of the situation? Not at all. Shameful.

Just finished reading her book. Learned so much both about what has caused so many environmental problems in Iowa and what we can be working on to improve the situation. Highly recommend everyone read!!

Released by Blackhawk Films in the late 1950s, filmed by Vitaly Uzoff who did one on Waterloo Cedar Falls and Northern, and Illinois Terminal, that were filmed using an RCA 16mm sound camera. The 16mm prints were offered with the soundtrack and in 8mm, in which this film we see here, is that format without the soundtrack. A documentary was made many years ago about the CRANDIC, using Uzoff's color/sound footage, but what happened to it, is a mystery,
