James Tooley in his new book entitled "Really Good Schools" explains when and why Milton Friedman ultimately disavowed school vouchers. Of course this is not widely known or understood. Tooley is an advocate for private for-profit schools for the poor and he has studied the subject globally. His voice could be a strong reconciling force on the subject of vouchers for those on both sides who are willing to engage in honest dialogue. Like abortion there are deeper issues that need to be carefully considered. Thanks Josh!
