This is exactly why I live the gym that I train at. They teach good wrestling as well as BJJ. Rsther than calling it BJJ they simply call it grappling.

I'm so happy that my gym teaches Judo, Sambo, and Jiu-Jitsu in my BJJ classes The owner of the gym is a Sambo guy who specializes in joint locks The secondary coach is a catch wrestler who specializes in chokes and cranks The owner's son is mostly all BJJ and uses a lot of slicers

He’s right. The same is true for wrestlers, but reversed. They excel in ground control and GnP, but don’t have any submission skills; at least not at an incredible high level. RDA is someone who does both very well for example.

Isn't Sambo just Russian Judo but with shorts and wrestling shoes? To be honest I can't tell the difference even after watching it apart from point scoring/rules (leg grabs etc).

Old school judo is basically split in half. Olympic judo for takedowns and BJJ is the best newaza.

Ultimamente en las luchas no gi bjj en no givs sambo ganan los de bjj y con llaves de pierna, tecnicas que principalmente son del jiu jitsu, el ganaba sus peleas con estrangulaciones, técnicas que no se entrenan en sambo, son del judo, jiu jitsu, catch
