@@abra.hui.unfortunaly, you're right. Nowadays, very few gyms teach the real old school Gracie Jiu Jitsu. I've always thought Judo is the best complement to BJJ as Judo throws are designed to bring you into the position to work on submission, while wrestling takedowns seem better to get into position for ground and pound. So which takedown art you choose depends on your preference how ro continue on the ground, submission attacks or ground and pound. And yes, Judo takedown defense is probably the best there is. If you can resist a takedown by someone who has a good grip on you clothes and by that good leverage, it will be easier to resist takedowns even better against someone who can't get a firm grip on you.

If you’ve told one lie, stolen anything, or lusted (which is adultery of the heart), you’ll be found guilty on Judgment Day and end up in Hell. But there’s good news: Though we broke God’s Law, Jesus, the prophesied Messiah, perfectly kept the Law, fulfilling all righteousness. He paid the fine for sinners ( that we could never pay ) by suffering and dying on the cross-absorbing the wrath of God that we deserve. “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” Then Jesus rose from the dead and was seen by hundreds of eyewitnesses. Sambo is Wrestling, Judo and Jujitsu with some striking aspects. It’s often ignored just because it’s relatively new and it doesn’t have the ancient mysticism that people like in martial arts.

Khabib is and always will be the best competitor. He knew how to stack all the advantages for his side and leave his opponent with every disadvantage possible. I still remember him yelling at Belal telling him that Sean Brady was jetlagged. One of the greatest competitors in MMA, GSP was the same except he's more of a fighter than Khabib. He took more risks and so took more damage.
@ryanb87369 ай бұрын
GSP even said Khabib is one of the scariest opponents. He said he tells you what to train for, you know his fighting style already, so you get all prepared. Once in that ring with Khabib, your plan gets washed away fast as Khabib walks you down and punishes you. All while talking to you as you fight for your life. That’s why GSP said Khabib is one of the scariest opponents and also can’t be beat.

I fought an aikido master once, he moved my body in ways I didn't think were possible. I felt so vulnerable and powerless to his aikido control. I ended up tapping out although I wanted the moment to last longer. Ever since then I developed a respect for alkido and the strong young men who use it. Especially the men who use it on me since every time I fight an aikido master I gain experience. And the strong desire to fight again with these young men. I've been paired up against many men in my life but none of those men were as strong as the guys I fought in aikido. My aikido needs work though as last year this guy got me in a triangle choke, which I found it hard to get out. Especially since he had strong thick legs that squeezed me tight. Personally I'm better at submitting people in twisters or rear naked chokes, they're probably my favorite positions. Especially when I have an audience that always gets me excited ☺️

Its good that Khabib ackownledges the unpredicatbility of an MMA fight. No matter how good your wrestling and grappling is, and although wrestling and grappling has been the dominant martial arts in MMA, all it takes is one crazy overhand swing, or an uppercut from hell, and its lights out if it connects right

That’s why Khabib had the best defense ever. He knew the art of absorption. He’s the only fighter I’ve ever seen use it. He knows how to move to absorb anything thrown at him. Look at those leg kicks thrown at him. He just ate them like nothing. The sound of them were brutal.
@honigdachs.9 ай бұрын
@@ryanb8736 Khabib was very mindful of not getting hit too much, his body language actually always showed that he doesn't like having shots thrown at him at all. It's not like strikes didn't bother him, it's more the fact that he knew he had to be able to take a few good hits while working on making it his kind of fight. Once he got his opponents where he needed them, the striking was nullified. You can tell the difference when you watch some other grapplers in the UFC - some of them get lit up while trying to grapple and they kind of fall apart. Khabib knew how to survive the striking distance just long enough to get guys down and from that point there was no more striking.
