Is that a rubber slip sole at 18:43 of the video, which also acts as like a midsole for the boot as well?

Hey JK!! I’m in the process of sizing my first pair of your boots. My foot width falls smack in the middle of E and EE. I’m likely going OT but debating on bison or cowhide. Idk what you recommend but I’m thinking maybe E for bison as you say it’s more flexible and EE on cowhide…any help is appreciated. Thanks!!!

Is there a difference between the super-duty and the fire inlander?
@jkbootsusa2 күн бұрын
No we just market the fire inlander to our wildland firefighters, also we don't offer bison leathers on our fire boots!

Try putting a magnet on a wrist band for nails so it not putting in ur mouth.
@jkbootsusa2 күн бұрын
Yes thats a good tip. Some workers here do use wristbands, others prefer mouth or just grabbing them straight off the table 😅

I have a pair of 13 year old RedWings that aren’t this bad of condition. Could I send them in?
@jkbootsusa2 күн бұрын
We only rebuild PNW stitch down style boots, Nicks, Whites, Drews, etc. Redwings are Goodyear welted and thats a style of construction we don't have in the shop.

Чувствуется подвох, такое красивое лицо кожи спрятали внутор, та часть которая похожа на спилок, лицевым наружу сделали. Скорее всего кожа трескается с лица, кожа старая или пересушенная.

So the 300 doesn't have a rubber slip sole? Won't that make sticking an outsole on it not last as long?
@jkbootsusa3 күн бұрын
The 300 does have rubber slip that runs the whole length of the boot that the sole and midsole are bonded to, if thats what you are asking. This is a very strong bond, and the rubber slip is also stitched through the vamp. We do have a video showing the construction of a 300 on our channel at kzbin.info/www/bejne/bKi6ZX17pb9mi6c 👍

Thank you so much for this video. I purchased a pair of winter boots at Macy's Christmas 2023 a size 10. When I wear them, my toes push to the front and they hurt my toes. The boots are a little big or loose at the toe. I wore a pair of thick socks and my toes are still pushed to the front. Apparently, the socks are half aren't thick enough. I have been trying to find some thicker socks. Thanks to your video, I just ordered the Darn Tough Wool Boot Socks from Amazon Prime. They're expensive but this is what I need to wear these winter boots in the snow and rain.😁👍👍 Happy New Year 2025.

Outstanding work and an impressive process! It's fantastic that you have templates and a cutting press machine. These efficiencies, combined with your meticulous process, truly elevate the quality at every stage. The rebuild on the boots is beautiful. Spokane, you make Washington proud!

I've never understood this. The forefront is a double row stitch down construction. Why only go through the outsole only on the front of the boot? Why not do a single 360 stitch down for everything not including the outsole and then a second 360 stitch down that goes thru everything including the outsole?
@rca43855 күн бұрын
Yes, definitely will wear a pair in lighter shade of saddle tan for everyday casual. It doesn't seem bulky overly done

We only use Leather shanks, in this case its a thin black leather shank 👍 We do also use a metal shank in our climber boot!
