I lived in a hi-rise apartment from 1996 to 2014 and was homeschooled from 2004-2018. One of my favorite childhood memories was playing the computer game Math Rock, which featured the songs from Multiplication Rock. That was how I learned about this song and many others in the Multiplication Rock series. Just hearing it again brings back so many memories! May Bob Dorough rest in heavenly peace!

This song is why 8 was always my favorite number. It’s moody and contemplative in a way the other number songs just aren’t.

Since this originally came out in 1973, that $54 would be $383.47 in today’s money. That is an expensive tab!

This "roller derby" was as PHONY as "wrestling" is. Just entertainment, but PHONY and scripted.

I wonder if the creators of all these films realize that they'd help millions of kids with their math, grammar, and civics lessons. I know they all helped me. Also amazed I know the words to almost all of these.

I remember every one of these, and I can still sing them word for word. This particular one had the best progression and jazz sound. In my opinion, that is.

I love love love the "stumble-stagger" on the 1st bar of this song, then the RECOVER! (It "sounds" like a "glitch", but I think it was accidentally intentional. Y'know, to F w our minds here in the future!) B cause, I distinctly remember it from when I was a kid on Saturday mornings back in the 70's! Also, I just GOTTA cover this song sometime soon! (I already did '3 Is a Magic Number')

Schoolhouse Rock looks like a spin-off of Sesame Street. Maybe the same animators provided sketches for both t.v. shows.

Absolutely my favorite Schoolhouse Rock song and the "Throwin' down jacks" transition is one of my all-time faves in any song. I remember just randomly catching SHR during '70s Saturday morning cartoons on ABC and, man, if you were watching another channel, flipped over and saw that you'd missed SHR on ABC, it was a bitter pill and you had no idea when your favorite SHR would pop up again. Back in the day, when you missed TV shows, movies, whatever, that was it. You might catch a rerun in summertime but when they were gone, you had to wait it out and hope you were luckier next time. Good times.

Yes, "6" is my favorite SHR song, with "0" a close second. (I still have to zip through "12" occasionally in my head)
