I've seen Derek's solo band, in the Allman Brothers and Tedesci Trucks band, over all seen Derek 12-15 times, caught Susan on a BB King festival tour solo, as good as Tedesci Trucks is, and they are a great live band, I actually liked both their solo stuff better but still rarely pass up a chance to see them in any form.

One of the early solos you showed w. DT sounded like Santana's Soul Sacrifice....

Seen Derek Trucks a bunch of times, Allman Brothers Band, Phil Lesh and Friends, and I even saw Susan Tedeschi once with a Dead offshoot, The Other Ones, but I need to see the happy couple, and soon. One small suggestion, and I really appreciate what you did here, but in the future, please use you phone in the horizontal mode, the vertical is too small of an image. With the horizontal you can show the whole band, etc. Thanks again Craig, looked like fun.

Glad you liked it. Anything from the Fillmore East album. I mean ANYTHING. It’s been said that that album was the best live album ever. It’s in the Smithsonian for its cultural importance. But, don’t rule out this last lineup with Derek. Never a bad song.

The Guitar Maester Michael Schenker. Many of the great guitarists of the 80’s and 90’s picked a guitar to learn after being inspired by Michael’s playing.

Consider more songs coming! Along with Foghat. This is another band that recorded in 4 channel sound..Quadrophonic. Many bands tried it & used mixing some that was all over the room that make your head spin! Unfortunately many other bands didn’t go that route and it faded away.

For similar fire and stank, listen to "Farewell Song" on the album "Live at Winterland '68" by Big Brother and the Holding Company featuring Janis Joplin.

Check out early Canned Heat for more Walter, also he played guitar with John Mayall for 20 years. Also check out Stevie Ray Vaughn and also Charlie Christian with Benny Goodman for some early guitar genius kzbin.info/www/bejne/gondk5dqrcRonac. Also Steve Vai and Joe Satriani. I've been a blues fan since 1954. OG here... You have a great format here keep it blue!

Awesome reaction!! Some more Muse songs I think you’d love: Psycho - Live at Roskilde Festival The Small Print - Earl’s Court 2004 (there’s a version where the distortion effect on Matt’s voice is reduced, and I’d honestly recommend that one. Both are good though) Reapers - Live at the Mayan Citizen Erased - Glastonbury 2004 I look forward to seeing more videos!

Really enjoying you being able to listen to an entire album and reacting to it. So many reactors all they do is listen to the hits and that’s it but this is just an outstanding example of a band that had great production from Todd Rundgren and still had that power garage band feel. Even the song ‘carry me through’ stripped down without all the production is a true blues song.

I think you should react to "Take hold of the flame " by Queensryche live in Tokyo 1984....you will be amazed....one,if not THE greatest live vocal performance ever.

Great reaction to a great song. UFO were amazing.....I was lucky enough to see them live a few times..... Michael Schenker was so far ahead of time .......he had/has the knack of being able to play incredibly fast and heavy yet maintain such a tuneful melodic tone......genius.

My man! Thank you for another great reaction! I really appreciate what you said about my suggestions...as I say all the time, you're the most open-minded reactor out there which allows me to dig deep into the cracks for some really cool and, in some cases, under-appreciated music like this one. Thanks again, man!!

This album & American Band was a little different from earlier albums. Then more of a power rock band, but branched out with keyboards & more sophisticated production. Will be sending you more. 😄 Grand Funk along with other bands from SE Mi always did a cover of a Motown song.

Bernie Worrell starting us off on his Organ with the intro, then William "Bootsy" Collins on his Bass and Eddie Hazel with the Guitar jump in with both feet. Got to see Bootsy in NYC and Bernie and Eddie too, at my first P-Funk show in Philly. This is sort of an off shoot of P-Funk, maybe some spare studio time. Never heard it before, but very heavy and impressive. Great pick Al !!!

Thanks, Bob!!! Cool to know someone (other than Craig!) appreciates this one! This song is from a Bill Laswell produced album that was recorded between 1989-1995 and released in '95, 3 years after Eddie passed. It's a really interesting/cool album with a ton of P-funk vets...new songs and re-worked classics like Cosmic Slop but this one is the highlight for me! Btw, I've seen P-Funk in Philly, too at the Keswick, Penn's Landing and with Bootsy and Bernie at the Dell! Unfortunately, never got to see Eddie with them...super cool you got to!
