It’ says it’s easy for beginners , but I found it very hard as a beginner especially toward the end details.

Thanks for trying - I guess "easy" is relative, however I do have others that may be a little simpler to start with - 101artists.com

I saw a U tube video of an Italian artist using MORTAR on his extreamly large paintings, on what appears to be wood, He doesnt provide much info about his method, have you tried that? Pier Toffoleti is the artist name
@AbstractARTpaintings2 ай бұрын
Haven't tried that - something to think about. I think if it is a lasting/archival-type results, then why not?
@sergiomariscal99992 ай бұрын
Thanks for this video, now is Spackling archival, do you mix glue with it, and do you use i on stretched or unstretched canvas? the info about the other materials is very clear.
@AbstractARTpaintings2 ай бұрын
If you use texture mediums that are listed as archival, you should be fine. Not sure about "spackling" as in home-type product (?) Always, ALWAYS use these on stretched canvas. You need the pull/support of the frame. Unstretched will cause it to pucker and shrink. Thanks!

You are an extraordinarily gifted painter. I look at these paintings again and again, they are the most beautiful I have seen in my life. I love minimalist, mostly white, plus my favorite color is Prussian blue. So your works are close to perfection, in my opinion. All your paintings are amazing. I hope one day to be as talented, but everyone has their own style obviously and that's what makes art beautiful: diversity. From Montreal.

You went from 8:26, all white to then color showing through without explaining what you did. You have not answered any of the glaze questions people asked. Why do a video and mention things and not answer questions about it?

@@AbstractARTpaintings what glaze are you using? Several have asked And why did you painting go from covered in white, back to how it was before you put white on it?
@AbstractARTpaintings5 ай бұрын
@@debbiemartin2026 Hi- If you scroll down you can find the reply from about 5 yrs. ago: I usually apply a coat of glaze mix: Satin + Gloss (GOLDEN brand glazes) blend to finish and give it a nice CLEAR sheen. I have answered a MULTITUDE of questions over the years. Just scroll thru replies and you'll likely find answer OR just ask me.

This is an awesome painting. I'm just a beginner but all the videos I've seen of yours, are the best and you explain a lot along the way. There's so many "mediums" out there that it's confusing for a beginner. What kind of medium do you use? Best to you, Steve

Didn't see this until now, but I'll reply anyway :) You can prime after texture; just go lightly over the texture (thin it out with water) or skip textured spots.
