Thank you for this lesson! I like that you are calm and methodical, when you describe for us what you are doing. Also, I really appreciate that you don’t use that kind of hysterical, meaningless music, that many KZbinrs - for no reason at all - use in their movies.

I like your speaking voice. I also like how you take care in applying the paint rather than being hap-hazard or unthinkingly sloppy like some "abstract artists".

Hi-did you use glazes and acrylic? It only says acrylic in description just wondering if i really need for this effect?
@elmer19122 жыл бұрын
I used Prussian blue but found it made thigs a bit on the muddy side. What colour blue did you use please? I'm 80years old (and not another grandma moses) but don't have decades to experiment around
@AbstractARTpaintings2 жыл бұрын
Hi- I cannot remember exactly but I think it's Phthalo blue/green shade. I use it often and this one has a bit of a green undertone, so that's likely. Prussian is more grey/purple undertone and would not work as well with these other colors.
@elmer19122 жыл бұрын
@@AbstractARTpaintings Thank you so much for replying to granny. I love all the pthalo colours but was too scared to use it as they are so strong. I should be able to get the sky right now. Love your tutorials. just wish I could spend all day painting.

Did you use glaze to thin the sienna? It is usually so dark....and did you add water as well?
@AbstractARTpaintings4 жыл бұрын
Yes I did; It gave it a washy look.

Hi - any glazing product meant for acrylics is fine. I use Golden brand, but any is fine. You can find it online (acrylic glaze medium).

I ask this with the utmost respect.... What do you mean by scrum or scrumming? I only know that as a rugby term. I googled for an artistic term to no avail. Please enlighten me. Kind regards.
@abstractartpaintings33662 жыл бұрын
LOL! I am sorry this really isn't a technical artistic term, but rather something I think of when I take the brush and kind of "scrub" it into the canvas. This is usually when I apply some light pressure on the brush to push the paint to blend it or to use the side of the brush to add some splashes of color (like the white) laid on top. Hope that helps! Thanks for watching :)
