Not really. The temp sensor relies on the throttle wires to send the temp info to the controller. The 6 PIN controller doesn't have those wires physically connected to the pin pads on the controller board. You can try to solder wires to the pin pads on the controller. Or use a bimetal sensor wired to the brake sensor wires. It will cut off the power when the bimetal reaches a given temp. It will act as a safety guard

1. Not all 860C displays can be flashed with OSF. We know for a fact that there are issues with newer versions. We currently don't have any video tutorials showing the process. With OSF flashed into your 860C display you need to flash the motor controller with the OSF firmware. You will also need a cable for connecting the display with the motor controller cable. It can be 1T4 that has 8PIN (or 6PIN depending on the controller type) for the motor controller and 5PIN HIGO for the display on the other end. Right now I am trying to figure out how to set the system to have the odometer to measure total miles (like cumulative miles, so I can track mileage since first day) and also be able to track distance for each individual trip. Thanks for any help you can provide. By the way, I bought from you the circular heat sink plate and the motor now runs much cooler, althoug I am measuring only the external temperature with a laser thermometer. How accurate can that temperature reading be, when compared with using and internal probe, like the one you installed in your video?

​@@cilami The odometer should do that out of the box. If you have the speed sensor working correctly the odometer should track the mileage. The current odometer value can be set in the Various configuration submenu. You have Trip A and Trip B values that also can be used to track the mileage. I believe that by default they might be set to reset on full charge or after a certain number of hours. The auto-reset feature can be disabled. Please go to the Trip Memories section to see these settings. You have a link to the TSDZ2 860C OSF Github page above. You can download the display manual in there. Most of the settings have short descriptions explaining their functions. Regarding the motor temperature. Even with the fully modded motor the temperature readings of the cover/housing are way off compared to the actual motor temperatures. You can read our cooling test. We have an additional temperature sensor installed on the side cover of the motor. Depending on what you mean by performance. The worst you can do is to run this motor with the original firmware. OSF vastly improves the efficiency. The cooling mods allow for running the motor at a higher wattage for a longer period of time. Lower temperatures should result in a better longevity of the motor. I ran stock firmware at 750W without any cooling mod. My motor burned out a few days ago carrying a load up a hill after about 9 months of use. And here I am watching this video because I don't think you can do 750w TSDZ2B without cooling improvements.

Nic się z nimi nie dzieje. Nie są używane. Obcięte przewody nie idą do silnika. Idą do wiązki. Można je zostawić. Nie ma na nich napięcia, bo je odcięliśmy od sterownika. W razie gdyby ktoś chciał w przyszłości przywrócić funkcjonalność manetki to można z powrotem przylutować do nich przewody ze sterownika. Dopóki są odcięte, nie spełniają żadnej funkcji i nic nie trzeba z nimi robić

The cooling test shows, that the premium conversion kit does solve the heat issue completely. It will very unlikely ever reach 70° - so I guess it is save, to avoid the complicated, installation of the temperature sensor?

@@matthiasschuster9505 If you don't stress the motor with the max power for a really long time you should be safe without the temp sensor. We didn't have any reports telling us that anyone had overheating issues with the premium kit

Dzięki. Na razie zajmujemy się modyfikacjami TSDZ2. Bafangi z fabryki mają lepsze chłodzenie i wytrzymują dużo więcej. Jak będzie zainteresowanie to pomyślimy o chłodzeniu dla tych silników

@@ebikestuff Mam zamiar właśnie zlozyc rower z TSDZ2B bo jednak pas to troche nie dla nas bo jestesmy przyzwyczajeni do Boscha. skoro piszecie ze bafang ma lepsze chlodzenie a wg mojej opinii grzeje sie masakrycznie a te jego mini zeberka wg mnie nie daja rady to nie chce wiedziec jak jest w TSDZ2 z obciążeniem pod gore 😅. Ogólnie to sama obudowa moze i odprowadza w Bafangu cieplo na zewnatrz ok ale sama ma problem z chlodzeniem siebie. Czekam na rozwoj wydarzen odnośnie Bafanga a jak juz bedw właścicielem TSDZ2B to pewnie zostane tez posiadaczem chlodzenia od Was.

It is recommended to do a checkup once in a while but in general the amount of grease from factory is good enough. As far as we know, the grease used by Tongsheng is MOLYKOTE EM-50L. Pytanie czy silnik ma wgrany osf, oryginalne jest do niczego, nie daje przyjemności z jazdy a wspomaganie jest żenująco słabe. Z wgranym otwartym oprogramowaniem przy wspomaganiu z mocą ~500W ten silnik ugotuje się w ciągu kilku minut. Koniec czerwca początek lipca udostępnimy rzetelne wyniki testów.

Ok a jaka jest średnia i maksymalna moc na najwyższym stopniu wspomagania? Przy osf można to bez problemu odczytać z wyświetlacza.
