*Just like Thailand, Vietnam is a third-world crap hole! Even if they don't respect native speakers, no quality person would put up with it. In Thailand and Vietnam, most companies have women bosses and HR departments that run on emotional horse sh##! This is why they focus on how you feel about yourself. In China, I found they have a high respect for native speakers who do a good job. But South Asia seems like pure slavery, with extremely low IQ, stupid female HR managers and bosses who always have something to say about how you do your work, but they can't find themselves out of a paper bag. And the visas there are so overly complicated and annoying.*

I am 19 days off. Yesterday my head was better. Today is a nightmare. My head is heavy and fuzzy. My temper is very short. This is so awful. I will not go back on citalopram. I am just wondering if I will ever feel normal. I am not a complainer and have a high pain tolerance. Let me tell you this is bad.

I just got off 15 years of 40mg. It took 6 months of gradually tapering off but now am off it. It's very painful emotionally. A lot of intense sadness and loss of purpose. I am wondering if it was worth it. All feelings are amplified 10x and very few of those feelings are positive. The dizziness or twinges don't bother me at all. They are not painful or debilitating. It's the heart/feelings that are painful. I was hoping it would be worth it but so far I'm not sure.

Thanks for your openess, so many people will benefit im sure. Praying for you. I weaned off citalopram 20mg over a few months and haven’t taken any in over a month but im feeling horrible. It’s waves coming over me of panic and waves of depression even when ive had a nice time or im out of whatever it hits me and within a few minutes im just breaking down crying battling the bad thoughts of suicide even though i dont want to die. I wanted to ask how youre doing now and if your mood stabilised? Do you think its normal to still feel this bad after over a month? Surely withdrawral would have stopped?

Currently on my third week off citalopram. I saw a psychologist and he said I don’t need citalopram and wrote my doctor who halved them from 40mg to 20mg. He told me this wasn’t treating me specifically for me and thought psychology would be best for me. I suffer from bad self esteem and anxiety. So initially I was scared and I’m on my third week off then after completing the 20mg. It’s been hard I’ve had head rushes and panic and I’ve been hammering the gym and getting out to keep on top of things although still finding it tough.

Hello! Thank you that was super helpful. I had my interview with ILA this morning and it is really good to hear some inside opinions. It sounds like you would recommend working there? Do they support you well? Is there a community feel/social culture? What do they have in the training programme?

I was on citalopram for a few years and went from 20mg to 10mg and then decided to get off of it just recently. I am now experiencing constant lightheadedness/vertigo and mood swings. I noticed my anxiety worsening and crying a lot. Sweating, then getting chills. I’m hoping this goes away very soon. I’m now taking multivitamin and this youththeory ashwagandha for reduce stress. Hoping it works
