@@achysklic aside from electronics, theres very little difference between these and epiphone. I'll have to check my records, but I've probably owned at least 100 epiphones, these are just as good, with way better frets. Epiphones Achilles heel has always been the frets. Cheap material, and most of the time, always uneven frets. Or frets that eventually pop up and need glued back down

@@P1nkman thanks for being a long time viewer and sticking around! I've got no experience with any of those currently. I've owned other ibanez models. I'd put a Syn Custom up against any guitar honestly. They are one of the best guitars in production in my opinion. I've owned or played just about everything and they can hold their own against any of them. You don't have to worry about missing out on anything if you have one, that's for sure.

I've always liked the look and sound + I've been listening to those folks for like 20 years now lol. Black with gold stripes and white with black stripes (I don't think they make those anymore) are my favorite.

@@PLEVI Dime estate did own the rights to the razorback, which is what caused the split if I'm not mistaken. Besides new management and Dime state disagreeing on royalties. The ML shape, they don't own, but cmon, just add lightening bolts, and this is a Dime guitar. They're taking a shot at the Dime estate with this one plain and simple. I think it wouldn't be a big deal if Dime wasn't dead. But it's disrespectful, they should just relased a cool guitar and not be petty. They did the same when Dave mustaine left. That is where the "zero f's given" comes from. Dave had an explorer shape with dean called the Zero. When he left they made another one and called it Zero Fs given

@@DeweyJHall1 Dean guitars, and the reason Dean is taking this stance is because they're fed up with constant threats from the family trying to cash in. Dean has already made countless Dime guitars for him and the market. The family's legal intimidation is tying up the company in a fight that Dean likely expects the family to lose. Similarly, Dave Mustaine doesn't own the shape of his guitar, just as Dean doesn't in this case.

@@greendayray probably their own artwork. Looks to be AI generated to me. Which is fine, the artwork is great on these two. They had one before this one, called Medusa, I think. Now the artwork on it sucked. To dark and no good detail. These two are great. I hope they do more in the future with different artwork

@@gururcanb no, it's a 24 in scale. The scale length is slightly smaller than gibsons scale length

@@gururcanb you'll have to use 11-52 strings on this one if you want to to play d standard. Becuase of the slightly smaller scale length, the strings have a looser feel. I have a MX copy hanging on the back wall there. If you want, I can put them side by side, in the follow up video to this one, so you can see the size comparison. This solar is a full size explorer tho, not small like the harley benton

@@dtread9543 I had to file the nut slots on this one as well. They're weren't cut correctly. Each string was at a different height. The only one cut right. Was the D string. I'll address that in the follow up video for this one.

@@DeweyJHall1 Thats a bummer man. For that kind of money you shouldn't need to put time or extra money into it for it to function properly. I've always wanted a white explorer style guitar for that "And Justice For All" vibe, but can't justify the crazy money that people want for the ESP version.

@@dtread9543 Yeah man, there shouldn't be anything that needs to be done to a guitar of this price. Thankfully though, after that, it's a beast. Plays like butter, and sounds awesome. It just oozes Metallica riffs haha...Nah man, they're crazy on the ESP prices. Even the LTD's versions of the MX are crazy money. They're only at that price because of rarity. If you can get a chance to get one of these Gibsons, I'd recommend it regardless. The neck shape is perfect on it

@@patrickshannon4516 fret sprout is definitely a thing. I've had guitars that would would cut into your skin it was so bad. Most don't get that bad, but it just depends on the guitar really and how it was made, and what kinda conditions people have let it set in. Worse one I remember was a squier classic vibe tele. The model with the 3 pickups. And it had a maple neck. Took care of it with a fret end file, but it was rough

@@DeweyJHall1 hell it never bothered me that much I just took a fingernail file to the fret ends just because I heard everyone else saying something about it.. on my forty year's of playing guitar haven't had an issue with that yet...

@@patrickshannon4516 most can be fixed with a sanding sponge with a couple passes. Then make a few passes with 1500 grit sand paper and you're good to go

​​@@DeweyJHall1If I were you I'd put active pickups in all of them it would make s major differences in the sound passive alnico pickups aren't nearly as good as active pickups all those chibson guitar's always have bad pickups i know because I bought s few of them before

No, that's not typical at all. Tighten the 2 small screws that hold the nut down. Usually they get loose and that'll make the nut creak and move. Try that and see what happens

If you use the mod podge, just put several coats. Allow each coat to dry first. If it looks a little hazy, or milky looking, it's not done curing. Wait until it dries clear. To add another coat. As long as you can get 4-5 good coats, You won't have to worry about it wearing off. It's an acrylic sealer, so it's basically same as acrylic clear coat. Doesn't effect tone. You're pickups, strings, guitar pick, and your amp is what is gonna effect you tone

Thanks! Yeah, footstools aren't perfect. I prefer something like the performaxe, or a guitar support cushion. For a flying V tho, the strap is the best option I've found
