For anyone else struggling with the tricky bit of getting the adjuster mounted into the interior trim hole: there is a third small sloped (as well as bevelled) lug just above the smaller of the other two (around 10 - 11 o'clock position on the adjuster), which I angled into the trim hole first (because it has no corresponding notch in the trim). This seemed to be the key to success. Hope this helps. 🙂

Thank you. Very helpful. Bolt on mine was a 10mm rather than 11mm. You're not wrong about the most difficult bit. Still struggling with it. Any tips? Like #375 (I think!) 👍🙂👍

Done it! Total pig of a job was easy to put the mirror on but that clip that holds the adjuster is a real mofo everytime i go to put the cover on it keeps poping out of the cover

I’ve matched the notches on the adjuster but they won’t stay in place once it’s through the housing 😡

@@leepharaoh3797 I ended up using super glue to hold it where it needed to be ,otherwise it just wouldn’t stay in place , it did the trick and has held in place , give it a try

I got the same problem tried for bout an hour but it just wouldnt have it i had to cut the cables on the old one to remove it too as the clips where realy on there lol

CBHT nice! I have the same one 54 plate! My central locking ain't working at the moment but I'm tryna sort it but can't get it into programming mode to sort the new key fob out... does your car have central locking? I'm starting to think mine doesn't😒 but it says from manufacturer it come with central locking on Ford etis

Yeah I'm pretty sure it does, but mine only has a key and no fob. could be mistaking central locking for somthing else gonna do a little research

ItsKushBruh after a quick bit of research yes my car, the firefly, has central locking. But mine is only with a key not an electronic fob

ItsKushBruh it's a 1.25l and it's spec is a firefly, so very basic. It would be a great starter car if you can find a 1.0 then go for that cause insurance would be cheaper . But the best thing to do is shop about.

CBHT its the same process for my ford fusion thankfully. i broke the plate that holds the glass in place. it doesnt sit in properly. do you think ill have to replace the entire wing mirror for this? is there anyway to take the wing mirror itself apart to try and fix it?

Steven prebble that's what happend to mine, I just replaced the mirror. a cyclist hits my mirror and snapped one of the mounts. but I'm unsure if you can buy the mounts separate. Just had a look on eBay and all I can find is the full mirror.

***** thanks for checking. I just knocked mine against a trolly bay in Tesco carpark and i think the top mount as disappeared so the mirror sags facing down slightly now. Hoping i can get a cheap replacement. Xmas is already breaking the bank hah. Thanks alot for your help!!
