with my old methods and settings plus 1/4 to 5 failure rate it would would wear out quick with resin stuck to the film. Now I can get way over 50 prints but need a realistic bar for new people printing, Now maybe a failed print once every 15-20 prints mostly from a stupid mistake.

I'm 99% sure I use this same compressor. It's low cost, pay paid half/a third as much as some other brands and it's never let me down.

I think I got the same airbrush you have in your video it was $60.. my first time using it wasn’t successful.. it blows out 95% air .. I even added a lot of reducer to the acrylic paint .. it doesn’t keep a steady stream of air pressure either .. when spraying water it sprays mostly air with little water .. idk if this thing is just junk or what .. I swapped out the .30 for the .50 when I first bought it as well

Hello, welcome to the channel. Most likely its a simple fault or mistake in assembly or operation. Watch this video as a full disassembly and fix step by step including everything you need to know and history of the airbrush. Does this work for lego minifigures?
@mokanaman5 күн бұрын
From my experience lego is abs-pc and melts handles different and more resistant then normal 3d print abs. The master lego builders use MEK, closest hobby product to that is any extra thin plastic cement. Lego is closer to normal styrene plastic used in model kits. I wouldn't use this stuff or other abs glues. With mini figs if attempting to fix a articulated part it needs tension and the break point be fixed with glue.

I used it for the first time. small project. paint will not come out anymore. The air is coming out, but the needle does not move nor paintt. I removed the needle which was clean. Can not figure t out..
@mokanaman16 күн бұрын
Hello, I am happy to try to walk you though fixing it. First check the screw at the far back of the airbrush cover is loose and not tight. That will block the needle from moving. Second remove the back cover with the screw and check the back of the needle and needle nut, this needs to be tight and move when the trigger is operated. Last you need to pull the whole thing apart like the video and find if the needle guide assembly is right or nothing is missing or blocked.

No, you can safely apply tamiya on top. I would not brush on lacquer beside that anything else is more or less safe. If still concerned do a test piece or start on a non visual part of the model.

absolutely echo everything you said in this video! I picked up one of these GHAD 39's about four months ago from amazon, during one of their prime days so I only paid about £35 for it! I've found it to be a fantastic little airbrush, to the point where I now prefer to use it over the iwata HP-BC that was my main airbrush for years! haven't yet totally stripped it down and lubed it though, because it has worked perfectly from day one, might get that done this week now, just to make sure I keep it at peak performance!

Personally HP series that special and kept mine in the box as polishing/ lubricating a newer Chinese hseng gave me the same results and cost less then 1/10. With that pattern of airbrush nothing has changed in like 50-60 plus years. Gaahleri has inavated a few weak points and aspects of the gravity feed double action and would have happily bought it being half price to Iwata.

Hi sir, how to avoid paint running into the air valve? Also can this model plug in the air filter valve? Im fairly new to this stuff 😞
@mokanamanАй бұрын
Hello, never remove the needle when there is paint in the cup or if internal is dirty, air filter will need a long female air valve adapter and extra air valve ontop. Your better off using a different portable airbrush system using 1/8'' and add hose and filter.

Heya - would you happen to know if the kit truly is 1/72? I have heard comments that these 4D tanks are actually 1/56 which would make them decent for Wargaming. Thank you
@mokanamanАй бұрын
Hello, 3rd series of 4d are fairly accurate (including this model) to the source material going though google search the the vehicles dimensions and hitting it though scale model calculator. The first series which is the cheapest is box scale and each armor sits on the same chassis. Some of them would be around 1/56 and agree building them they are perfect for wargamming but the detail and resemblance of the tank is terrible .

Thank you covering these kits. I notice the 4D models are increasing sophisticated. Two of the last models I put together had two variations that could be built (e.g. TOS kit allowed for the model to posed in either a firing position or in transit) and with metal antennas. I think the molding of the plastic is generally quite good at least to my eye and I am surprised how well the parts separate from the sprue.

in short yes the ink will mix with water long version no if will not spray well and stain the cloth right as water does not atomize well via airbrush

I'm confused as to why you would use acrylic lacquer thinner with purely lacquer paint.
@mokanamanАй бұрын
I can help you with that, in my country there is a weird law regarding solvent thinner and paint sales to public for environment and to get around this they use the word arylic for whatever reason. I assure you its pure toluene, xylene, and acetone. You can also get water based enamel and lacquer thinners now adays so lots of crazy chemicals and lots of confusion. Always read the label.

Hello, this was borrowed from a friend/ client and asked to try it out for a video. In the state at time of filming the compressor was several years old and pre owned. I used it for about a month with out issue, the friend is still using it to this day. Others who own it claim it will last decades with proper care. I can assure you knowing the compressor factory (not the brand) they make crazy amazing stuff, buy with out fear and will get one for myself also second hand to save some coin.

Great review👍 Defo looks like a hybrid between a H&S (pre 2024 and 2024 models) and Iwata airbrush to my eyes, which is intriguing 🤔🤔 H&S also bought out 1-2 other companies in the past, as far as I can tell (I forget their names), and used elements of their designs in their range too.

Looks great! Why use PVA instead of traditional model glue?
@mokanaman2 ай бұрын
This is a great question and only talk about it from time to time. Model glue I use before painting as it melts both surfaces to create one piece. Once painted the glue can damage or run the paint and needs plastic on plastic contact requiring me to scrap paint off or mask the glue surfaces. Its so much risk and extra work pva is just quicker or super glue if strength needed.

@mokanaman2 ай бұрын
I have not heard of that before, over sleeve and bolting from both sides in a pattern achieves this mechanically. Im sure there are other methods or tests but if its so tight tapping it produces a beat kinda like a drum your pretty much good. Manufacture instruction does not mention this as well.
