If you are serious about the environment stop eating animals. Currently 100 billion land animals are forced into existence in utter misery because 8 billion human animals think it's theur birthright to stuff theur faces wuth the flesh of other animals

The whole media industry is on life support in LA - TV, comedy, music & movies. The new puritans have killed the appeal - the glamour has gone and so has the sleeze.

@ 21:14 the narrator states, "The morning of September 5, 1937, Jean Harlow herself calls MGM publicity chief Howard Strickling........" That is not accurate because Jean Harlow died on June 7, 1937. Paul Bern died in1932. That error exists in the original A & E Biography narrated by Peter Graves as well.

if you pause at 10:15 , you can see, almost in the middle of the screen, a white billboard with a one-eyed green creature... does anyone know what that is? It can't be a Minion right?

THE STORY OF THEIR DAUGHTER, NIKKI WAS VERY SAD…..BAD ASPERGER’S AND BORN AT 6 MOS. PREGNANCY…ANGIE DEVOTED HER ENTIRE LIFE TO THIS CHILD WHO NEVER GOT THE HELP SHE NEEDED AS NOT MUCH WAS KNOWN ABOUT AUTISM THEN. NIKKI KILLED HERSELF WHICH WAS MORE OF A SAD ENDING.

Did this really air on A&E?! The tone of this doc is so over the top, I could not stop imagining Fred Armisen playing the biographer and Bill Hader doing narration. Thanks for the laughs, Peter Jones Production. If the historical inaccuracies aren't enough to get a chuckle, hopefully the narrator calling Jean's characters SLUTS over some genteel, violin music will get the audience.

She may not have been the great actress, but she had the real comedic talent. But of course the platinum blonde that came after her had much more to offer in terms of not only Greater Looks but also of Real Great Talent!

Wow... Is it really over? I have not been there is a while. But last time I was it did look pretty dead. The music scene is dying because it's pay to play everywhere. Everyone is starving and the rents are too damn high.

I loved going down to Sunset As there were shops open all night. You could get a haircut at 3 in the morning or shop in a store ran by the Motorcycle Club i think it was Hells Angels.. all you needed was money for a soda and sit on a bus bench and watch the people. We would throw cigarette butts on the sidewalk and watch the bums dive for them. It was people watching all night.. you could be entertained all night and not cost you more than what you were drinking.. i always drank Pepsi.. you could see anything on the strip.. i saw a guy that looked like Tim Conway( about 5 ft. 3in.) He was so obviously wearing a white Beatle Wig, he was wearing a Black Tuxedo carrying a Black Briefcase with the words "MODEL" IN LARGE LETTERS ACROSS IT. HE WAS JUST STANDING ON THE CORNER IN FRONT OF A DINER. WE WENT INTO THE DINER ME AND MY FRIEND AND SET IN A BOOTH. 2 GUYS WHO LOOKED LIKE THEY WERE RIGHT OUT OF THE MOVIE GODFATHER CAME IN AND SET IN A BOOTH NEXT TO US AND THEY WERE TALKING SO WE COULD HEAR THEM TALKING ABOUT BURYING A BODY AND HOPING THAT HE WAS DEAD AND MAYBE THEY NEEDED TO DIG HIM UP MAKING SURE MAKING SURE THE BODY WAS STRIPPED OF ID.. MY FRIEND AND I WERE THINKING THEY WERE MAYBE REHEARSING A SCRIPT OR SOMETHING. ONE GUY TURN TOWARD US AND ASKED IF WE HAD EXTRA CIGARETTE, MY FRIEND GAVE HIM ONE AND HE ASKED IF WE HEARD ANY OF THEIR CONVERSATION AND HE LOOKED DEAD IN OUR EYES, it was then i knew they were for real. I SAID WHAT PRETENDING THAT EVEN WITH THEM SITTING SO CLOSE , THAT WE COULD NOT HEAR THEM.( OF COURSE THAT WAS A LIE, BÙT I KNEW WE WOULD PROBABLY BE IN THAT HOLE NEXT TO THE BURIED GUY).. WE LEFT AS SOON AS WE DRANK OUR SODAS , WE DID NOT ORDER FOOD WE INTENDED ON GETTING.. TO THIS DAY I BELIEVE THEY WERE FOR REAL.. ANYWAY BACK IN THE DAY YOU COULD SEE ANY AND EVERYTHING.. I DO NOT LIVE IN LA ANYMORE. I WENT TO THE MIDWEST, THE LAST TIME I WAS IN LA VISITING HOUSE SITTING A FRIENDS CONDO WHILE THEY TRAVELED TO EUROPE and was surprised when i went down to see the old places and streets of how dirty and trashy it was. It was like a ghost town , even bums were gone to different areas..all the places that had been the places to go and be seen were boarded up or for sale, abandon and there were no businesses open after 10. I felt sad, so i am glad i saw this video that brought back lots of memories..

LAME glam bands played the Strip in the 80's... Hollywood was super sleazy by then anyway. And there's always been homeless and drug addicts and crazies on the streets.. since the early 70's anyway. Hollywood glamour died in the 60's with Marilyn Monroe. Now it caters to tourists who really know nothing of it's history, and there are no more "Movie Stars" or big movie premieres like back in the 40's, which is really the last decade when Hollywood was happening. Now it's just expensive hotels, shops and restaurants with boarded up businesses and empty buildings in between. But, really ALL of California has been destroyed. Not the same state I was born and raised in, that's for sure. HARM REDUCTION is a MASSIVE failure!

Is the Sunset Strip close to Yucca and Wilcox? That's around where Barbara Payton's downward spiral played out over a decade when she was shunned by Hollywood. Payton's biographies describe this area as a post-apocalyptic hell-hole of homelessness, drug addicts and violent crime. Where Little Rascal Stymie ended his days as a heroin addict. Where an ex-actor named Victor Killian died of a heart attack while chasing teens who stole his TV set. One author shared that a pair of prostitutes were decapitated in a hotel room. For decades, game show guests would receive all-expense paid vacations in Hollywood thinking they would see famous actors to beg for autographs, only to be dropped off by taxis smack in the middle of this cesspool. "THIS is Hollywood?!?!"

Just found out he is my great uncle and the only reason I bring up that point is the fact that myself as a dyslexic who here as self-taught himself how to write. It kind of makes me feel proud in a way. What is funny is I never had my mom, or my dad as read me his books. He was not really my thing. This was before I knew I were related to him. But I still do not much like his so books at all. But it is lovely that people like the guy as much as they did or do. I never met him. But I am sure he was a nice guy. I come a family of lovely people who my mom and dad were like one of his books. Very simplified people. Me I am here hoping I get published here soon enough. I like working though 9-5 and doing that. But writing is my love.
