Say you used this in a theatre, like a 300+ seat auditorium can you set facelights to stat static with your remaining lights like led cobs/pars/movers still operating as shown here?

yup easy. You can use fixture groups and set different behaviours for different sets of lights.

Ordered mine and hoping it gets shipped here to Flint, MI soon. I heard the wifi doesn't work so good so would like to test connecting the ethernet directly to an iPad and see if that works so I have a reliable connection. You also mentioned using something that supports MIDI for input vs the RCA inputs. Is one better than the other? Do you have any examples of connecting a MIDI controller? Just curious and excited to get started. I have been trying to get going with SoundSwitch (I just don't have that kind of time) then I jumped to myDMX GO and its so old and outdated and honestly a pain to get setup so excited for Maestro since it appears so simple. Let me concentrate on the music instead of all the lights.

Hi! MIDI input is used to control MaestroDMX during your performance such as effects like strobing, blinders etc, and also to trigger cues. MIDI has nothing to do with the audio inputs. Is maestro better than wolfmix??

Depends on your needs. Wolfmix is great if you want to dive in and have a lot of control and spend time programming specific details and effects of your show. Where as MaestroDMX is more hands off and does not require the programming.

I’ve watched the video several times my mover has only Chanel 15 and it’s from 40 to 52 I’ve tried all Chanel’s and none respond how your lights do with pan and tilt , how do I fix this ?

yes it does, depending on your laser you may have to create your own profile to control the laser and play around which channel attributes work best. You can also harness the power of FX Palettes and Snapshots to trigger laser presets/macros based on events in the music. you can create a snapshot for any of your fixtures that have built in strobing and then trigger those snapshot with an fx palette. See our support page, under Learn MaestroDMX section.

I use a tablet to control my lights with mydmxgo will i be able to do the same here or do i need a computer? How will i be able to communicate from maestro output i imagibe wireless transmitter to my lights? Or can I use it with virtual dj? Looks great

yup you can use a tablet. You can use wireless transmitters. Just send analog audio via the RCA jacks on the front.

This looks so promising Is it possible to send maestro the kick, snare and vocal tracks for a more “tight” show? Basically allow it to stay locked in to the rhythm section (kick and snare) and for any long vocal lines to build up?

The software update is for the firmware on the box. You don't need to have a device such a laptop connected during show time.

Just looking to confirm we are a band with around 8/ 10 light dependent on venue. They are usually sound activated, but it's a bit of a headache at times with them flashing on/ off etc. is this a solution bringing some clarity to chaos for us. But we really don't have the time To spend hundreds of hours programming. I watched the heavy metal 'how to' and I was lost. Just looking for a fairly simple solution? Thanks in advance

hi! MaestroDMX works in real-time from an audio feed, needing no PC-based software, pre-analysis of the music, or complicated setup. Soundswitch and Rekordbox require difficult-to-learn software and a predetermined tempo or beat grid to function.

Hi If you have a JSON formatted fixture profile file you can upload it or restore it to the fixture profile library. In the top right corner of the Fixture Profile page is a 3-dot menu “ADD” button. Click here and navigate to “+ Add Profile”. In the pop up dialog select “Restore From Backup” to upload the JSON file.
