@SimonMorelguitar oh my toot. You seen that song with the big man on jools holland show?
Im a singer guitarist songwriter. I switch between thinking about what i can glean from that. And also about becoming a hermit! Na. The passion. The joy. Enthusiasm. Stage craft. Lungs. Vibrato. Unreal. I will follow you my man and look at the chords tomorrow. In the meantime. Just. You. Dont. Give up on me. Fabulous.

I really appreciate your response. This is a case where wrong has been played and heard incorrectly for so long, we all begin to believe it is right. That half step is so subtle, it is hard to distinguish. But it is there. Remember the Funk Brothers were jazz musicians; that's where that major 7th comes in. It sounds good either way but . . . I like to do the classics correctly. At 76 years old, I have played it incorrectly, too. Until I isolated it and played along with the E vs the F. It is hard to improve on the classics. {listen} kzbin.info/www/bejne/eZrVqGaLbrCSo9U Keep up your good work. Thanks for listening.

I know the history, but this at 0:16 or so in the track you sent is an F. 100% kzbin.info/www/bejne/eZrVqGaLbrCSo9Usi=vEU5YSvaM3Bci_4T&t=16
@jamessmithjr54204 күн бұрын
ERROR! Sorry, my brother. The F riff ends on the 7th, i.e. E which is the Major 7. It does not end on the 8th tone of the scale.

Sorry James, not sure you are right here. Have another listen to the F riff at 0:14 on the track. kzbin.info/www/bejne/r2Sue2qaZ9Z1paMsi=SgDOren4inYuvx1q&t=14

@@SimonMorelguitar im a beginner so i dont know much yet, i havent been playing with a pick a lot. With the fingerpicking i can cheat a little by using hammer-on and pull-off to get the licks down :) , but the pick seems sooo much faster. Would you recommend i start using a pick?
