Hi Simon, now can you tell me how to do the same with my Mini Maton??? Enjoy your lessons.

Hi Glenn, hmmm.... First up, I'd ask how old the strings are, then what gauge. Then have you had it set up? I have one, I use 11-52 (Custom light elixirs) and have no problems.

@@SimonMorelguitar Hi Simon, bit the bullet and dropped it into a "Maton" endorsed repairer up here in Newcastle. The string gauge is 12 - 53 Elixir which "Maton" told me are the gauge they fit to all their guitars from the factory. I did notice the neck has a slight bow and the repairer said some of them were not that great from the factory. I bought mine in 2010 so over time it may get a bit tired here and there, hopefully he can fix that and lower the action as well. Thanks for the reply, great lessons as well.

That should definitely fix it - I know Maton recommend12-53s, they're just too big for me!

That was not the outcome I was expecting. Have never heard of the bridge having issues like that. Sounds like a design flaw that would affect all Gibsons with tunamatic bridges? I can't imagine that's the case... I've got several LP style guitars, inc. a gibson LP and they all have similar tuning issues, however i've always found the main problem is at the nut. It's either not cut right which can causing sticking, or if you're still having issues I usually find lubricating the nut solves things. Did not know about the bridge moving and causing issues. Was this something specific just to your guitar? If so why?

Hi there, thanks for watching. I've had other Gibsons with this issue before and like everyone on the net says... "Tuning problems? you need to fix the nut", that never really worked for me. Generally the tuning stability was never there, especially on the G string. Then I discovered the TonePros bridge and it changed my life! And that's why I shared this video. I love that they've identified the real problem and then designed a product to fix it. The 336 now stays in tune all the time. Almost as good as a telecaster!! Thanks for watching, all the best, Simon

@@SimonMorelguitar Glad that you sorted it out and will keep in mind for future. Does still sound a little worrying given that I can't imagine why the bridge on your guitar would be any different to the millions of others already out there... Anyway, if it worked then that's the main thing right. Will keep that in mind if I ever have issues again. Tx anyway.

@@cupidstunt66 I don't think the bridge on the 336 was was any different to the millions out there. I think it's a design flaw that the tone pros guys have identified and fixed. Every Gibson/Epiphone I've ever had has had the same problem. I know lots of other full time guitar players who have installed them.
