My mom is 90. That is her exact recipe. I didn’t see or hear you say cinnamon. My mom never use cinnamon, just nutmeg. My mom boiled, peeled, and got the dark eyes out the same. Ur Grandma is the only person I’ve seen do it just like my mom. Even the consistency was the same. They look like my mom pies, so pretty! Yeah I heard some of my favorite songs in the background 😊. Hi, so did you add 3 tablespoons of oil before you added the butter because on your recipe it doesn’t say that you started with oil.

It looked great ,then you spoil it by cutting with the grain of the meat, you should always cut against the grain. But I'm gonna try your recipe anyway.
