For anyone not using a sequential shifter, it's unbelievable how much they add to the realism of simracing. Do yourself a favour. These look really great and quite affordable. Love how you don't need to already be in the Moza ecosystem.

Yep, have fixed steering support for racing (feels the most realistic with motion) and a different support for flight which moves with motion.

This wheel was a game changer for me. I am going to be using it nonestop no matter what its bevause fo the 4 rotary encoders.its perfect i change tc1 and tc2 also abs 1 and bb on the fly! Im one who actually utilizes it and those are my 4 most important functions and ive used a bunch of wheels none are as easy to use while driving as this. The 4 and positions are perfection. It helps the wheel feels incredible also. Also probably my favorite shifter paddles yet. Perfect sound and volume and depth and super super positive feel. Great conbinations with the ultimate. If you have the ultimate this wheel is a must imo lol. The paddles man yall listen to me no paddles feel and sound as good as these. They have this depth and pop but without being to loud. Beautiful Listen ive used alot of wheels like alot. This ine is in top3 of all time for me for pure use and feel. Accesibility and ease of use is awesome also. Im sry you dont need simhub with this wheel.

Nice video Neil, appreciate the informative and detailed build. Have narrowed my rig purchase to Track Racer and now, trying to decide between the 120 or the 160... Honestly, think either will be fine - just don't want to look back in a year or two and think, "man, wished I would have spent a little more for that..." kinda thing. I think even the TR80 would probably be fine, but when you start picking things, each one is "not that much more"... Lol : ). I will say though, I think you have the seat 'brackets' on backwards... maybe that was intentional for your application - but all the rigs on the Trak Racer site have them the other way around... just an observation.

That sense of speed is a really good point. When I got a triple screen setup that's the one thing that provided - same idea behind it!

The same go with racing...the wide FOV does give you a sense of speed and that's VERY IMPORTANT for racing. I tested many times on my 8KX (which has a much wider FOV than Crystal). It also seems to relieve your eyes strain and focus...so rather than concentrate your eyes on a toilet rolls...you have the peripheral visions to give you more cues as to what the heck is going on with your car position in relation to those around you and you just feel better driving overall.

Would you still use the high PPD narrow FoV lenses for anything now?

I get really upset when I switch my 8KX down to anything below the 150 degree setting (much prefer 170 degree setting though). Does that mean I should skip the entire Crystal series and wait for 12K?

The fov is the main reason i ain't upgraded from 8kx. This does little to change that. I hear from a lot of sim racers, they wont go back to 8kx. For me, the only reason i like pimax is the massive screen. Im 1000% sure the crystal kicks its ass big time in visuals. Right now, that doesn't matter to me. I will buy a crystal light eventually, just don't think it will be for sim racing. Definitely get it for flight sims. You're out there just enjoying the visuals while flying. Im focused on my mirrors and my next corner.

Studio looks great mate. Maybe a tad more light on the table to reduce shadows. The rest looks 👌

Not just for open top cars. GT3 and most race cars have vent for outside air to blow into the car. You can't put windows down in a race car in a race .

Great video and good comparison between the 2 types of lenses. Best video I have seen comparing the 2 types of lenses. I don't have any PIMAX VR headsets at this time, but waiting for the Crystal Lite headsets to be released and I will watch the review videos on them. Do both types of lenses have a good large sweet spot for viewing? Do the lenaes get blurry at all when our eyes look toward the far edges of them? Thanks for the video, and take care.

I mainly use my crystal in iRacing, and my biggest thing is the lack of FOV when racing side by side (especially when 3 wide), so this dramatically resolve that, or is it “half way” to a acceptable solution?

I bitched about these last month. I pre-ordered my crystal and after the announcement is when I sort of freaked out on a couple Pimax Staff. I was getting so tired of new releases and still a year later no second set of lenses, just saying.

Great video and you make a good point... in XR everyones expernice will be different assuming perfect QC that is... Like I've only seen screen door in my quest 3 like 3 times and I got it on launch and have worn it for a dozen hours+ but some have said it's littly so bad it makes the headset hard to use... But then again I also rearly saw it on my Rift CV1 which some got turned off of VR with that headset despite being the best Headset value till the quest 3 for me... And depending on what the xbox quest is I may get that too if it's a cheap streaming box... Also I do feel the guys who say the crystal, beyond and Vision pro has the only screen for them... I do get that because my Sony bravia OLED TV will still be better for me as some times it's like a window... I don't believe any of those 3 headsets are like that I know a Samsung 8k OLED TV was not... But yeah as tech advances it becomes more about feelings then pure proformance.

Great review! Curious what your IPD is? Mine's 59 and noticed other youtubers say their IPD is 65 or so. I wonder if that makes a difference?
