Thanks for the shout out. I think you could push your system a little harder with some further tweaks. I have grandstands off and event detail set to high, that way the track looks more busy and at the likes of Daytona it enables the fireworks at night. If you get stutter at a race start then that's usually because of the smoke, I have that set at high detail (so you get the stone chips) but Full Res is switched off. FXAA smooths out the image yet you also have sharpening enabled that seems unnecessary to me and just adds artifacts to the native image, if you had an image in photoshop you wouldn't blur it and then apply a sharpening filter for example. The native resolution in the Crystal is so good that you don't really need any sharpening, I have all that switched off which results in a really natural looking image with very few jaggies when at native resolution.

Hey Mark. No doubt! I actually use this setup to record with so need the headroom for big fields! The 7950x3d is a weird CPU and even though I have fiddled with it to force it onto the first CCD it seems to still bounce onto the other side occasionally and because of anticheat, theres no real way of actually stopping that. Sharpening is VERY subjective. Appreciate the suggestions I have tried all combinations in sim/oxrtk wise and this is where I landed perf/visuals balance-wise. I really need sharpening even at native resolution because straight lines trigger my OCD. This has all but removed them! Some people are happy at 90hz I need 120hz to race, no doubt to offset my skill level haha so thank you for helping me get there clearer then ever.

The audio with you sitting in your seat in the corner of the screen with the Crystal on, I don't see a microphone. Are you using the built in Crystal microphone? If so, it sounds really good. I've heard other use it, and it has stuttering dropped audio frames, sorta annoying to listen. But yours is clean and no drop outs. I wonder what the difference is. I assume your using something like OBS to capture video and audio, or are you using a separate PC?

Hey mate, I am using a Antlion Wireless microphone to capture the audio for when I don't have the headset on my head. Can't honestly recommend at the pricepoint its at for the job but if you are an audiophile and don't want to use a desktop microphone for computer use then this is the best option available.

@player1simgear How did you setup the Logi Pro X2s for iracing? I just got a pair cant get a good EQ setting. The sound is horrible.

Nice ok what did you say to have on in openxr tool kit? CAS, foviated rendering? And leave upscaling off and use the regular native Pimax Crystal resolution? Basically if you could just write me the open X over two kit info I’m good to go. I have a 13 900 k 4090

Hey Richard. CAS @100% (subjective setting) and that is It. Some people are using foveated rendering if they have the cpu headroom but I found I don't need it.

@@player1simgear OK and the last thing is, do not override resolution. Used to Pimax Crystal native resolution is but I’m sure when I don’t override it it will be default. Send thank you bro I will try.

Hi people! I cant go above 90fps in IRacing. I have the 120hz enable, but in game i am stuck at 90 fps maximun. Any advice for that?

How do you do your stream capture i get a very odd distorted view i have not been able to correct.

Hey lakespookie. I am utilising a plugin for OBS by Jabbah called the "OBS Mirror for OpenXR" basically it grabs one eyes vision and you will find this is heavily zoomed out because the screen actually has no chance of fitting on a 4K canvas. It's a bit fiddly to get going if powershell doesnt have elevated privileges, so good luck

@@player1simgear Ahhh got ya yeah i would need to stream the plug in capture to a second PC setup, Oh well i am moving to triple 48"s anyways for streaming. But i will need to dig into that plug in a bit more cause it literally solves a problem i have not been able to fix with the regular capture of the monitor screen.

I mentioned that the only setting required is setting it at 120hz (given you have native resolution configured). Currently, aside from the settings mentioned, pimax don't have any optimisation settings that aren't colour or audio related.
