I simply don't understand the disparaging comments that were made about a very talented 12-year-old kid. Jealousy!

We lost Peter.Gary.....but Joe understands the importance of that guitar..and plays well keeping the spund alive...its special....

I used to see him in College Park, MD in 1974-1976. I think mostly at Italian Gardens (was that the name of that place). I wish I knew what I was seeing and hearing at the time. He was just Danny Gatton to me.

Gotta love how he paused for applause but no one knows about Danny Gatton somehow. Seriously, how does barely anyone know about the guitar god Danny Gatton?! It’s strange

I saw this video and I believe one where he was playing with BB King and that’s how I found out about Joe Bonamassa. And I’ve been a fan ever since.

Great he gives credit to those who helped make him who he is. Some players you never really hear talk much in detail about that stuff. Especially Malmsteen. I wish one day he'd just admit he basically copied Blackmore's stage moves and look along with a bit of Hendrix and copied Uli's harmonic minor stuff AND yellow strat and yet he always says oh, my influences were Bach and Mozart and yada yada. Yes, classical influenced his music a lot and his fast runs. But guitarists also influenced him. I didn't know Danny had anything to do with Joe but man, Joe really can do the country thing as evidenced here. Joe is really up there in probably the top 20 blues/rock players at this time. He's just settled in with those vocals on top. Super solid and can shred when he wants to.

Almost all young guitar players use too many notes and don't put any feel into the solos. I used to be that way long time ago. Then one night a regular gal at our jams told me "slow down, play like you are making love to a woman." Lesson learned, and he did learn eventually.

Joe should have sold his collection and bought this thing. Although Kirk is a good caretaker I would have preferred a blues monster. Kirk should do a blues tour without Metallica

Its a travesty that people refer to it as the Hammet Greeny now.. its like if I bought the Salvator Mundi by Leonardo da Vinci and scratched my name into it and added my name to the title... it dont work that way.

Mr. Kirk Hammet now has the honor of owning this treasure. A truly gifted player in his own right, I think he fully understands the history and responsibility that this guitar has had on the music industry. He continues to let the magic flow Greenie for all to enjoy.
