So I currently have a 3080ti but I have to under volt it if I want low fan noise… the under volt drops performance a fair chunk and it’s still pretty loud. I don’t want to spend £1k on a new card but I don’t see much choice for my use case. How quiet is this card at full load?

I heard that guys that managed the server chips are now managing team working on Unified DNA gpu architecture as they plan to merge gaming gpus and server compute accelerators into one single software stack like Nvidia has. it was 2 years ago and we are no more than 3-4 years from this tech appearing. I bet it's in succesor to rx 9070 or if they do mid gen refresh rx 9075

amd kind of fucked up expectations with the rx 7800xt for instance , when you see the board of details on tehc power up , the 7800xt is a close match to the rx 6800 non xt , the rx 6800xt has more hardware on the board than the rx 7800xt ... and now they confuse us even more since the rx 9070 xt is the direct evolution of the rx 7800xt ( which is an rx 7800 non xt ) it should have been named the " rx 8800 " nvidia tried to do the same mess with the rtx" 4080 12gb " Just shows that neither nvidia or amd for that matter actually care about their community , they do not respect us , keep that in mind , it's all a matter of who will drain your wallet faster , and keep in mind that , both ceo are in the same family tree

Wait until different reviewers make comparison videos. Then make your decision. I'd say wait until the next gen of cards as this gen won't offer substantial gains in performance, except for the 5090.

you will miss out on raytracing performance with the rx 7900 xt , it would have been fine 2 years ago ,but not in 2025 , more and more new games will make you regret you didn't have better rt cores , rdna 4 should really good in that matter , or if you don't care about rt and you play indi games that don't require rt or you play lighter games with rt , you should be fine with the rx 7900 xt ,

@@jeofthevirtuoussand Yeah to me I dont think rt is my biggest concern I think its just plain performance since I prefer high frame rates with graphics not has high of a priority. I mean I like a good looking game but rt even with Nvidia doesn't seem worth it to me. I'm just worried about performance and availability as the cheapest 7900xt is $750 USD which is a pretty good price but I'm still not to sure. and Nvidia, for comparable performance is even more than that,

The card has to beat the 5070 in price and performance. It won't match the performance of the 5070TI, which will also be significantly more expensive. If AMD prices the card well, it will be a success and I will buy it.

I think its for the better, They copied intel naming schemes when first launched Ryzen. Now people can easily compare which product is fighting which product and how much is the price diffrence.

Also when people talk about GPU's they usually just say I have a 4070TI and not bother to say Nvidia so in theory someone will be like I have a 5070 then their friend will say oh yeah? I've got a 9070. monkey brain logic wins.

Nvidia's sales are about 4 time more than AMD so if the customer thinks they're buying a Nvidia product then sales go boom? it's that kind of logic.

That 850W psu would have been better, much cooler, and better efficiency. That PC is quite power hungry.
