I was talking to some people about this, and I told them how we’re always marketed things we think we need for fulfillment-more stuff, flashy things, nice cars, etc. But they never tell us the truth about what really leads to a fulfilling life: good relationships!

Plato studied philosophy in ancient India… A Course in Miracles of course goes to the next level and it’s the key to a high level of peace and love 🧡 Robin Duncan explains the course well too ❤

This was on the border of truth, however, isn't it interesting that none of these kinds of shows talk to male Doms? It's always the old Dominatrix trope that gets trotted out. It's no where NEAR the whole truth of BDSM. Nice try, though.

When I started this podcast it was geared toward women and I prioritized female guests. After a year I expanded my target audience based on requests from men I didn't realize were listening.

Its def a disorder. Normal people dont need this kind of experience 'to let go'. Let go of what?? Thats a disorder
@mindlove4 жыл бұрын
butterfflyess I can totally see that viewpoint. I also often think what is “normal” really? We all have our quirks and society likes to promote conformity. Most people diagnosed with ADD don’t actually have a disorder at all. If it is a disorder though, most things come from childhood trauma, so finding a healthy outlet with two people of consent is a pretty good way to go about it I suppose. Thanks for your input!

For me, I don't see it all as all "love"...But rather how deeply will you love and accept me without conditions? It's testing the limits. It's wondering, will I still find love and acceptance in this darkness? Does it ever run out? There comes a time of maturity when love doesn't need games to prove itself.

Since I recorded this episode a friend of mine has been very involved in this world and I have to say that there several men she’s gotten involved with have way more problems (mostly narcissism which I did mention in the episode) than seemingly most guys do. So I do think by nature of the activities, it might attract some bad apples. But I think with the right intentions it’s an interesting thing to explore. I’ve played with my husband a little and it’s definitely deepened our sexuality a bit 😊

Someone from my past was into bdsm and he is not happy and healthy. He had major anger problems, smoked a lot of pot, and was pretty antisocial among other thingd. However, I don't base my opinions on him alone.

DreamsofStardust75 I think it’s like with anything... it can be used for good or bad. If we go in with the intention of exploring an aspect of play and different parts of ourselves, it CAN be fun
