May sound stoopid.....but was this car in milton Keynes today? Sunday 29 Sept? And if so did you join the a5 down by Caldecot lake? And if so, do you remember passing a black mgzr following a frosts hire van? If so, maybe you see the driver of the mg raise his red bull in respect for a very nice car as you passed him b4 going passed the van and skipping yr back end out a bit on the roundabout under the a5 🤣 I only ask, coz I was in the black mg, my mate in the van, we were moving someone from mk to Clophill, and a sexy little Imp that looked exactly like yrs passed us doing just as described above 🤣🤣🤣 looked sick as fook 👍 very sexy little car. If it wasnt, no worries, if it was......then what are damn chances I'd then get back home, browse KZbin, and yr sexy little car would be one of the vids that pop up 🤣 Unbelievable if it is. Hi James. Looking at getting my HSCC spec VW Beetle out of retirement and getting it back on track. Its a tossup between the HSCC, CSCC and the CTCRC. CTCRC seems to be the best option from a racing point of view although the races are short (Big winner is you don't have to spend £1400 on a set of Dunlops!!) and if i'm reading the rules correctly I can run a 1584cc motor from a later Beetle/Campervan, so 160-170bhp is more than possible...Hmmm, decisions. Keep up the good work

Frustrating when your qualifying position comes from high corner speed but there's a 1/3 mile drag race to the first corner. Missed gear didn't help but didn't make that much difference, just a lack of power. Great recovery for the rest of the race.

Some good clean racing there James. Loved the clutch fanning, reminded me of riding a two stroke scramble bike.

What a race! great pace to be keeping with the mini's and anglia, with the HP difference. Brilliant placement for the penultimate corner!

1:57 - Ford Fairlane autobahn! Any prospect of your perspective on the races from the BTCC round in the future? If ITV are claiming "copywrong" they've got a cheek because they never showed the second half of the grid after lap 1!

I grew up with these cars when I lived in Britain in the 70s. The imp engine must have been the most unreliable engine.

You are very forgiving, others should take plenty of photographs of their cars because they will need them when putting their jigsaw puzzle back together because their luck will run out soon with bad driving antics

Given the extra power of the Ford Lotus Cortina I'd argue that you were impressive just holding it, never mind looking for an overtake. That said you did lap that first A40, M*n* and Spridget? at about the same time.
