Having owned 3 Imps in the past here in Australia I commend you in your race wins, at age 14 I was pulling my engine down and rebuilding it also.

Really great to see the younger generation taking an interest in these fantastic little cars. My first car was an Imp, have never forgotten that high revving true driving experience. Keep up the good work James, really enjoying these videos. Long live Linwoods finest!

Greetings from Portugal! James, I'm a huge fan of your racing and technique, thank you for sharing your passion for this world of classic cars that has fewer and fewer people interested. I don't have a lot of knowledge about old British cars, especially the car you use in racing. Although I am the owner of a Ford Orion MK2 1.4 carb Ghia, I thank you for making content that enriches my knowledge in the world of British classics. By the way, is there any British championship where Ford Orion races? Thank you!

Thanks! A Ford Orion could race in my club, in the pre 1983 or 1993 catagory

Thanks. Did you work out what failed? Big-end? Rod? Top came off piston? I had the tip come off a valve, at the collet groove. The valve stem bent into a perfect 'S' before it disappeared down through the piston. It was so perfect I embedded it in clear resin and had as a shelf-ornament in my workshop... It served as a good reminder! Make sure you don't put Andy into the weeds! 🥴

It was the big end cap unfortunately, the rod and most of the piston was nowhere to be seen
