I don't have a lot of knowledge about old British cars, especially the car you use in racing. Although I am the owner of a Ford Orion MK2 1.4 carb Ghia, I thank you for making content that enriches my knowledge in the world of British classics. Thanks. Did you work out what failed? Big-end? Rod? Top came off piston? I had the tip come off a valve, at the collet groove. The valve stem bent into a perfect 'S' before it disappeared down through the piston. It was so perfect I embedded it in clear resin and had as a shelf-ornament in my workshop... It served as a good reminder! Make sure you don't put Andy into the weeds! 🥴

It was the big end cap unfortunately, the rod and most of the piston was nowhere to be seen
