we used to have a skate park next to a burger king in my home town 20 years ago and we used to call the bowl, burgerking bowl too lol. the demolished it after several years because it was a hot sopt for youth and causing trouble lol. That skatepark was dope they where stupid for removing it.

“Illegal street skate completion” 🙄 yeah you guys are some certified outlaws, bunch of guys in their 30’s spinning around on the front steps of a building. Theres a reason why this sport came into popularity & then fell off the face of the earth like 5 years later. Everything looks pretty much the same and it doesn’t require a lot of skill to do. When I was a kid rollerblading was what you did when you realized skateboarding was too hard

You can’t base the judging on what you see in these videos this was a great contest. I wish I could’ve been there. Very awesome to see all the prizes that they were able to give out some very good skating from what the video showed. I’m sure it was insane in person.

Being there in person, I'd say it came down to the crowd. The decibel levels when Cudot landed his tricks were just slightly higher. Dalnas has also won before; maybe since it was so close they went with a new winner instead of a repeat. Don't know, a lot of possible theories.

From the footage it's a very close call between them, both could have won. I though Cudot did very clean and hard switchups, plus it was his usual goto tricks, he really adapted to the spots.

Anyone have resources on skating bowls? Grinder blader here, this looks so fun but my transition skating isn’t so great, over shooting hip airs for example and just bottoming out 😂

My suggestion would be to carve the bowl as often and work on increasing your stability. Regular, fakie, and switch carving. Eventually, you’ll naturally learn how the ramp assists your movement as well as how they’ll launch you when eventually get some air. Takes a lot of practice to learn quarters for sure!

Yup, it’s called Tri Rocker. I found I only ever get wheel bite on the second wheel and rarely ever the third. Having the third wheel under my heel allows me to pivot better while still being able to do easy grinds. It’s been my favorite setup!
