@@benzmaxing Thanks! I’ll post another of me helping Andrew install a manifold and turbo on his OM606 G wagon. As for the comparison. I can’t really say, because there in two different chassis. The 1fz is a low revving engine I believe it redlines at 5000. I’m not sure which Benz L6 you asking to compare but the Toyota and MB L6 is DOHC iron block aluminum head engines. I like that the 1fz has the power steering pump powered by the timing chain as well as a dual belt pulley system for the accessories. They both have their own issues regarding the head gasket. So 🤷🏾‍♂️. The MB engines are lighter and much smaller than the 1fz. If I had the money I would swap the 1fz for a OM606 in my other 80 series, for fuel savings as well as weight reduction.

Those are nice but u missed a big point. Dpuk and Kangaroos are MANIFOLDS, the other is a header. And long tube headers are the best flowing exhaust u can get. Im a huge fan of dpuk and kanga. But headers flow better than a rough casting manifold. Dpuk has some awesome billet stuff. Im building a mean 603 and im also a certified, im welding a header pipe. I generally try to take youtubers with a grain of salt. Some have great tips, others not so much.

I worked in motor shops, normal every day cars. A intake manifold is rough metal, and exhaust manifold is rough metal. Now sciece says air can actually grab things, kinda like how tornadoes move things. So intake or exhaust manifold with rough cut metal will grab the air vs flowing steel with nothing rough. Both companies have their things that are good. Im not knocking them, DPUK is better cuz its billet and air can flow smoothly thru it. U arent even a gear head. And a random gear head like me had to school u on science. And thats all u got to say. How do u even have subscribers?

Just finished my second 606 swap. Reduced from a 7.7mm to a 6mm pump and it's crazy smooth. Wish I had a 8HP70 trans which would really unlock the 606 potential, manual trans doesn't do it justice.

How does this work? I mean how do you pay for the parts; do they check what they are worth or just sell these for salvage prices without checking? Excuse the dumb question but NEVER been to one of those.

At this salvage yard everything has a set price it doesn’t matter what it comes from. Some yards check and charge more for certain brand parts but I avoid them unless it’s for something rare that I need. Like a ASD differential or turbo diesel engines.

Lucky you guys have a LOT more freedom doing whatever you guys want with the car. Wouldn't be possible in Europe sadly! Hope you're enjoying this car for as long as possible! VERY NICE BUILD!

The original one has plastic connectors with O-rings. The OM603 uses banjo bolts and crush washers.
