lol, crosshair doesn't even make any sense in this horrible game. Everything's luck base, I've gotten lucky picks so many times, like I usually get like 30 picks but it feels nothing since it's just lucky shots, this game is bs and gunplay is freaking inconsistent af.

facts. Aim is the thing you need least to worry about as its the simplest and easiest to improve. I ranked up from plat to ascendant in 2 months and my aim has only improved slightly

Watch your replays, and focus on your initial aim duels whether you got the kill or not. Ask yourself if I get this kill what YOUR TEAM gains from it, and if you lose the fight what YOUR TEAM loses from it. Ranked valorant is a long term game, if you took this fight 10 times how many times would you win? If it's less than 50 percent you really shouldn't be taking the fight unless your team is losing the round (meaning the other team has more people alive than YOUR TEAM/ they have more control over the map than you.) Then focus on the mechanic, was your pre aim too high/ too low, etc. Look past whether you got the kill or not, because your going to lose gunfights no matter if you made the right decision or not. IF YOU TOOK THIS FIGHT 10 TIMES HOW MANY TIMES WOULD YOU WIN REALISTICALLY?

Also, I feel like my aim good in kovaaks and deathmatch, even team death match and unrated, but in Competetive I just spray, I even try to actively think about not spraying and just taking my time to actually aim and then shoot but I tend to fall into the auto play category so frequently because I reached such a high point of skill play in another game playing on autoplay was good enough for 99% of my matches. It's a bad habit. Any suggestions?

I think one of the biggest things that helped me is calming down and going slower and training that in DM. I average over a 40% HS ratio. My aim is great though it was bad but it really was the running around the map on autopilot. Slowing down and thinking really brought me way up in rank. Gives you more ability to react when you peek and gives your mind time to expect an enemy location. Even helps you process tracing a swinging enemy way better.
