"aim is only there to correct a mistake you made" perfectly said. Me and my duo got to high immortal and he constantly felt it was his aim holding him back and i was trying to tell him that aim isn't as big of a worry as he thinks and in my opinion he had good enough aim. This is probably one of if not the ONLY valorant guide that actually speaks majority truth. Most valorant guides are survivorship bias or simily wrong. @@slowtalker Exactly. I don't know if people here are just coping about bad aim. You can get to immortal solely by having great aim. Reyna and Chamber one tricks that came from CS have been proving that many times already. You can be horrible at valorant but if you have great aim and good tactical fps knowledge from cs, you can become immortal. It'd be a lot harder to become immortal with bad aim.

You'll see more value playing 4 games every day for 4 days than playing 16 games in one day. Just how the brain works, for consistent results, you need consistent application and practice. Regardless to whatever any youtuber or high ranked player may say, mechanics are one of the if not the most important thing(s) in valorant soloQ, so yes train your mechanics and train them equally (not just your aim, but your movement and shooting hygiene as well)

you get exhausted because you don't take breaks. it doesn't stop at playing 5 games a day for example, the continuation is that it's best to sprinkle them up through your day as much as possible. play back to back games only when you're on fire, otherwise it's best to take at least a 15-30 min break between them. of course if you're busy with life you probably have 6-7 hours of free time a day, but even still 4 games are like 2 hours and a half and you still have the time to take breaks in between. watch a series/anime episode or smth then get back to it. it's so simple

Its better to play consistently 2 games for a week, than it is to play 14 games in one day
@lust8890
@lust8890 10 ай бұрын
@@SnowMexicann no it literally isn't. 2 games a week will never be enough time to get any type of good rank in any game ever unless you're a prodigy, and news flash most people aren't. we're especially talking about a shooter here, with the gameplay leaning towards the reactive side whereas a game like League leans towards the methodical side and if you learn the correct things you can get better much faster. In a shooter you basically have to train your subconscious reaction and your aim gets progressively better strictly by practicing more. you can play 2 games a week once you've reached a certain level to where the game is ingrained in your brain and you can take it slow without losing everything you learned. or of course if you're playing for fun, but this is not why people clicked on this video ;)

I'll preface this by saying I'm familiar with Zapper's content, and I admire that he's willing to post videos on things he is currently learning/working on. Some people learn better by teaching, could be his way of helping himself implement the things he is learning. 2:00 I'll play devils advocate on this point. The point of thinking before the round is: what your plan will be going into the round should be decided before the round. I like to view every round of Valorant as if it were a game of chess. You should have openers/strats that you can execute that have been thought out before the round, but like chess, you'll need to start freestyling at some point in the "midgame" of the round. Overall I agree with most of your points, especially the point of everyone putting more weight on aim than other aspects of the game.

Great video brother, I’d have to say though as a former immortal 3 player, there are some points here that I disagree with for “most” players. Everyone is different and while focusing on crosshair may be great for a small percentage of players I think rather than focusing on crosshair you focus on the enemy’s heads. Especially for someone who aim trains often if you need to adjust your crosshair it is easier to adjust when you are focused on their head rather than the enemy player being in your peripheral. I can go in depth on this if people would like.

This made me way more consistent in every fps that i play. And i believe having a preround plan is good, but adjusting to the info you get its way more important to be a good player. Other thing is a lot of people that i see spam 20 games a day and say they are not consistent and im like "mf you autopilot 90% of those games ofc you are not going to be as consistent as someone who plays 4 to 6 games full focused trying to improve instead of RNG his way up the leaderboard by getting carried most of his games.

This is the truth for all games and most things in life. Literally just gotta play more. It's how the brain works. The reason why people are good is because their brain is literally built to be good at that. Playing something for hours a day, everyday, for weeks, months, and years, your brain will literally adapt to do that thing more efficiently. Now don't hop on for hours and turn your brain off and auto pilot. You still gotta learn new things and put in the work.

even if you hate the advice given, It's awfully true tbh. Majority of the people think immortal elo is like 9 out of 10 players in the lobby are great, skillfully aimed, and each with 160 IQ. Nahh it ain't really like that. And it's actually more anti-climatic from what people think elo differences is. Competitive games in Valorant with the higher elo it goes. Each game is basically just a thinking marathon. And every round/every game is truthfully based on whose person with a better tolerance of mental strain & whose better awareness-wise. I used to think everything is going to be entirely skill-based but realizing how being more mentally aware branches out even alot more than what you think it is. p.s. I do agree with you more then the other guy, but what he said does have some bases (imo, I'm bad tho) 1. your eyes actually matter, i think the most important thing is to not let your crosshair float around the screen if there is ANY chance of an enemies appearing, for that, looking at your crosshair is important, besides, you have a much faster reaction timing to shoot whole holding an angle if you are looking where your aiming (of course you don't look to your crosshair everytime, but its good to take cover before looking to the minimap for example) 2. I don't think he is referring to autopiloting when he says to play without thinking, I think he is referring to flow state (I might be wrong), even then he would be wrong, I think there is just a portion of the pro players that can enter flow state consistently, even high elo players only do it ever once in a while that said, awesome video, your tips are actually good and the video was great. Just a quick tip for my guys trying to rank up (it got me from silver to Plat 3 in bout 2 months, I still not good and my aim is shit, if I did it you can do as well) play with intent, if your aiming somewhere have a reason, if your looking alway from your crosshair you should have a motive to, if your pressing a key think about why, when your swinging know why you are swinging, this is the meaning of not playing autopiloting. Take countious decisions as often as possible and if you fail undersant why, when you succeed try to think if it was cause the play was good or it was an enemie mistake. If every step you take is a learning step you be griding in no time, no matter how bad your teammates are.

As a VCT Qual Player even I find myself being inconsistent. From my experience there are two things that are the key to success and good gameplay. 1. Take breaks. Reset your mental after a few bad rounds by standing up and focus on something in your room or outside your window to create a new sense of space and reality of the situation. Take deep breaths, and hop back in with a new mindset. 2. Maintain positive vibes. Yelling at teammates and raging isn't gonna do anything good for you or your team. If you have that problem, refer to #1. By staying positive, supportive, and caring, you will often find more success through that moral boost. Competitive games can be as much as a mental issue as a skill issue, and it's important to draw that separation.

Competetive Fortnite taught me these lessons a long time ago and I've applied them to Valorant with some success. I am a rather consistent player and the only thing keeping me back most days is mental and volume of matches I can play (life lol). I stick to short routines I can do everyday. I found the sense and crosshair that works for me and never changed it once. I do actively focus on aim and crosshair placement, but only when I notice it deteriorating. Rather, I focus more on game sense, positioning, and coordination during matches. This is the realest advice anyone could give.

The not thinking thing is advice for people over thinking everything which usually comes from fear and lack of confidence. As an immortal player your able to think quickly and react well to things off of your experience while being able to rely on your very reliable and well trained movement and aim. Silver players should be focused on honing fundamentals during games and building confidence. Focusing on rotations and timing is a bad use of their time because alot of those habits can be built naturally anyways or aren't easily applicable in a match where people play entirely differently from a high level. Not saying it's useless to learn those things at a low rank, but information and learning is best in digested in chunks and over time rather then trying to cram a bunch of information and trying to call back to it during your 2 minute round window. I stopped think so much and so hard during matches and just started trusting the push and my ability to kill those infront of me and it really really helped.

This is very true. A lot of people love looking for shortcuts (try this crosshair, try this sens, use only this gun...) or even just looking at a bunch of videos on how to get better. I once had a friend send me 5+ hours of guides on Valorant. That's nice but too much. Spending 5 hours watching how to get better will never be more effective compared to playing 5 hours. Most of the best players of any game ever didn't get good by getting coached or by watching guides, they got good by simply playing the game.

I've been diamond 3-asc 1 for about a year. I started valorant in 2020, when I first got a pc. I see people who were in plat or gold in my twitter feed a month or two ago now thrive in immortal. I don't know what I do wrong. I have thousands probably of hours in this game. Level 227 and I'm still in this rank. But, even though I see my rank not move, I see my improvement and seeing this just reminds me of what I need to do. I focus way to heavily outside on others and not enough on myself and doing the right thing of playing more and more, even if its longer than it takes others.

when people give the advice of about not thinking during rounds, i don’t think they mean auto-piloting. i think they just mean overthinking and not being able to focus in game because you’re overthinking your positioning and getting timinged on because of it. not completely turning off your brain

Bro spitting fax. NGL. Every video I watch on youtube about how to rank up. People talk about mechanics, game sense and stuff but they never talk about what goes inside while you are playing the game. And yes, I also think that aim is not the only problem here. I am a asc 1 player. I am a dogshit aim (i will lose 1v1 dm with a gold player) but the reason I ranked up to this rank is because of so many other things that goes into while actually playing the game and putting hours which you will not learn by watching a youtube video. So, if you are still reading this. Go play the game for hours and hours leanrning the agent skill, learning decision making, learn some fking lineups if you are silver (thats how i got from gold to plat XD). Be confident on what you do and most importantly learn from your mistake.

I think a lot of tips were actually helpful for me, especially the ones about decision-making which seems to me is what most people struggle with since aiming is mostly a matter of practice and crosshair placement. Also I think a lot of people straight-up unfocus during games and don't really think about clearing angles as something they need to focus on, they just go through the motions without being prepared to check said angles and end up dying due to not being ready, assuming the reason they lost the fight was because they suck at aiming. Overall I see a LOT of videos that have good tips on how to improve and while "just playing" would still make you better over time I think helping yourself by watching some good tutorials on lineups, map control, positioning etc.. can help you get the hang of how things work a lot faster.

Also as a quick tip and an example of what I just said: do you know how to swing an angle? Depending on the type of angle and where the enemy is positioned there a few ways you should do it, you can jiggle-peek, swing close, swing while hugging the wall, wide swing etc.., also it's important to know what's on the other side and use utility on the right angles instead of wasting it. Personally this is the tip that helped me the most, I lost a lot of gunfights and never understood why, I always blamed my aim then I finally understood that it wasn't my aim but the fact I was taking fights that I shouldn't be taking or that I should be taking in a very different way.

currently gold 3. this is the highest i've peaked in valorant, when i first started in ep 3 i was iron 3 and avoided comp so much because there was so much toxicity. lucky for me when ascendant was added, i was in b1 and shot up to s1 then double ranked up to s3. almost hit plat but i just went on a losing streak. i was really fortunate to have met people who helped me get this far, i think i would be stuck in lower elo if i didnt follow any guidance
