Also wanted to add that I've had no issues with rattling or any undue movement or misfiring of the cover when removed for cleaning and reinstalled.

The seller I used I see is no longer on Amazon and Ebay but Here is a Link to a seller that offers different colors of the covers. PRO TIP: as you prel off the 3m adhesive cover its difficult to get these intimately fitting adhesives to slip into place fully before they bind...so applying four drops of a soapy water mix allows them to slip on then adhear properly (Soapy mix is 6oz water with 1/2 teaspoon of dishwasher detergent, then use four drops on adhesive surface) Good luck 👍

@@virgolife None at all. I took that cover off and cleaned the engine meticulously. 41,000 miles on it and the engine sparkles. It's good to keep my baby as clean as I can get it. It's a driver but in classic condition. Thanks again for tht tip.

I have Amazon Prime and found all the onlays there... and with the free returns, it's a nice insurance...I've had none of the onlays have any misfit issues even though they have been from different sellers they have all fit very, very precisely 👍 They all have come with the 3-m Red adhesive, which has not debunked thru extreme heat or cold. I see that the product availability and sellers change often, so I haven't seen any one seller provide all the parts I've ordered, especially in a specific "color" selection. I'm laughing becasue I didnt notice any difference...another person had written me and said the same thing, "No difference"... I just enjoyed the instal as it made the compartment look more finished and maybe keep it cleaner over time.

@@virgolife basing this on the escape with the 2l. However I also know that the escape doesn't have a hood liner, and the sport does... I was going to do this modification, but I decided to side-grade to a full size, I miss my manual, and there are certain things about the sport that annoy me, some pertain to my pericular car, and some design elements (like missing engine cover, skid plates, the fact that the interior dosent match (black on the bottom Grey on top), behind the hood funnels leaves into a bucket in the fenders, stupid location of the rear wiper switch......... There's more but.... All in all I still love it and I will miss it when it's gone.

It took a lot of research to find mine for the Ford Bronco Sport... -I first looked online to see what different Auto Supply stores were offering -took down those part numbers and screen shots of the images -went to the dealer parts department and asked them about the part numbers -some didn't know the part existed even though it was in the supply book -the final step was making sure you pay attention to the parts book Asterics as they indicate specific additional mounting brackets or screws that are necessary That was it, got all the parts and followed the instructions on the packaging -the install was easy and only needed simple tools Best to you, hope you find what you need to get your project done. After having mine on for over 9mo I would tend o agree...I don't notice any significant change in engine noise.

@@virgolife Exactly. All that thing does is trap heat and make the head and coil packs hotter. You want to have as much air flow to the engine as possible and that thing not only impedes the airflow to the parts it covers, it TRAPS the heat and makes the engine HOTTER.

I just installed mine - being that it is foam you could be right - should have just been a thin piece of plastic to dress up the engine bay and not of foam that will trap heat - perhaps the original intent of the foam was to somewhat mitigate the fact there are no engine pads on these various models from Escape Bronco Sport Maverick etc.

The term I heard for this is "decontenting". I've got a couple of first-year cars from another manufacturer. I really like the car, but after the first year they started removing features, chipping away at them one-by-one. I believe they removed the modesty cover (engine cover) after a couple of years. The one that got me was they removed the LEDs from door lock switches in later models. Sheese! Junk yards can be a good source of decontented parts. Old enough here to remember the original Broncos, but I had a Scout.

Thank you for your reponse...it is a briliant piece of tech...I found it in the Wallmart Auto section for Moilehome Accessories. They have a nice section of unique products made for Mobile home living. The pack had two of these and was under $10: they take AAA battery. It takes it bit to line up the magnet activator by opening and closing the glove box several times sneaking a peak to see if the light actually turns off when the glove box is almost closed. I fist used double stick tape to do this and once I found the final location for mounting, I used Silicone glue to mount the magnet and the Light. Good luck.

Thank you for reaching out...I've had them on since July 2022 and they have held up very well thru all the rain, mud and rough roads we have in Virginia. I don't see any wear on them. But one caution, since these are stiff rubberized plastic other users had commented that if you go off roading and a large rock catches the guard it may fracture while bending, while all rubber ones that are more like a flap will flex and give way. I'll be making some shorts in the next week and will include the flaps in the short vids.

@@virgolife Glad to hear you're still enjoying them. Yes, the stiffness of them is my only concern. Although I don't do much off roading, I still worry of any potential limitations they may cause. The rear bumper on my Badlands gets absolutely covered in grime though. Really wish there were more options that don't require drilling! Would love to see more shots of them soon! Thanks again.

Thank you for your comments...the protection Decal is a Ford OEM part, I bought two others off Amazon but the material was sub par. The Ford OEM part had texturing and has some decent material toughness to it. It's been on since July 2022 and it's holding up without any edge lifting or deteriorating. Thank you again.

Thank you for reaching out ..The pedals have a rubberized lip on them that flexes then once over the metal extension arm of the pedal rebound back into a position that locks them in place. You have to remove the original rubber pedals off the extension arm of the pedal on the car (they pop off easily when rocked back and forth as they use the same rubberized lip system to hold them in place). My 2021 came wioth the cover also.

The explanation I was given was that "Due to Supply chain issues" many of the 2022 did not get them installed, yet they were given to the customers without them not letting them know they were missing some of these parts (this was from one of the reps at the parts department)

I did need to change the bolts that came with it to longer ones as shown so it would lock the safe in place The short coming is really the easy lock to pick ... so many ways to Jimmy those numeric rollers... but if the con cept is to cause a delay in a Robert and allow the smash and grab without fumbling over a safe then in my eyes and experience it's worth the deterance I keep extra mags and ammo and occasionally if a busyness doesn't allow ccw then I'll lay her to bed for a short time. Although I try Not to patronize businesses that don't support us
