For the last several years, I've been wondering why FORD is no longer including engine covers?? It's weird, because they do NOT offer any info on that. Plus, we have dozens and dozens of reviewers of vehicles on uTUBE and they NEVER ask. Glad you got this sorted...and posted a video. Nice job. Merci

Thank you for your comment, it's crazy that the parts department does not have it listed in the Ford Bronco book and their experienced techs didn't know much more either...the individual parts had to be looked up on their computer system. Thanks again.

The dealership was adamant that there wasn’t one for the 2022 model and using the one for the 2021 model would require modifications… I’m saving this video to show the parts dept.

Mine came with out one as well! It’s been an absolute nightmare trying to get the dealership to order one, and once I got the cover they didn’t include any of the mounting hardware!

I am so sorry to hear this ... they sure were trying to just sweap it under the rug hoping some would never know...same for the Plush Truck Lid Liner...mine did come with one of those but it was a juggle when I went to parts and we tried to look at the build lists for the engine cover & order numbers ....let me know if there is anything I can help you with that didn't make sense on the Video Best for luck ~ Kriss

The part number for the stud that should be installed, rather than the generic bolt, is AA5Z-6N958-A and it's about $10. Outrageous price, but if you want to do it right...

After 2021 Ford deemed the part 'No Longer Needed' and the part is NLA - I found the last one in the country at a Ford dealership in IL and it is being shipped as we speak - It is going on my '23 Maverick - I will have to search for the bolt and nut from Ford as I did not know what part was needed when I order the cover. - that will likely be more readily available - I hope

The term I heard for this is "decontenting". I've got a couple of first-year cars from another manufacturer. I really like the car, but after the first year they started removing features, chipping away at them one-by-one. I believe they removed the modesty cover (engine cover) after a couple of years. The one that got me was they removed the LEDs from door lock switches in later models. Sheese! Junk yards can be a good source of decontented parts. Old enough here to remember the original Broncos, but I had a Scout.

You are missing the lower dash insulator too, It installs on that flat black panel below the wipers. Shame we have to finish what Ford started.

Thank you for the shout-out, Honestly, the bolts just support the dense foam, so as long as you find a bolt with the right pitch and Hieght, it will and has for me kept it in place, with ease of removal and replacement.

It took a lot of research to find mine for the Ford Bronco Sport... -I first looked online to see what different Auto Supply stores were offering -took down those part numbers and screen shots of the images -went to the dealer parts department and asked them about the part numbers -some didn't know the part existed even though it was in the supply book -the final step was making sure you pay attention to the parts book Asterics as they indicate specific additional mounting brackets or screws that are necessary That was it, got all the parts and followed the instructions on the packaging -the install was easy and only needed simple tools Best to you, hope you find what you need to get your project done. So... This "cover" is a sound insulator designed to deaden the tic tic tic sound that comes from the high pressure fuel system... So the question is, did you notice an audible difference?

I'm laughing becasue I didnt notice any difference...another person had written me and said the same thing, "No difference"... I just enjoyed the instal as it made the compartment look more finished and maybe keep it cleaner over time.

@@virgolife basing this on the escape with the 2l. However I also know that the escape doesn't have a hood liner, and the sport does... I was going to do this modification, but I decided to side-grade to a full size, I miss my manual, and there are certain things about the sport that annoy me, some pertain to my pericular car, and some design elements (like missing engine cover, skid plates, the fact that the interior dosent match (black on the bottom Grey on top), behind the hood funnels leaves into a bucket in the fenders, stupid location of the rear wiper switch......... There's more but.... All in all I still love it and I will miss it when it's gone.

Right !!! It seems the "Supply Chain" issues kept them from getting them installed on the 2022s... and they sent them out the door

Again, when you pay this much for a bronco, ford should include hood struts, hood insulation, door sills and engine covers as standard items!!!

Hello and thank you for reaching out ...the translation I got from your message is "Can you tell me which Ford model will use plastic fender liners instead of the standard ones" I haven't had to change my fender liners and was not familiar with available options...but looking on Google I was able to bring up multiple plastic options from $60-100. I looked up "Ford bronco sport fender liner"

Thank you for reaching out...it is very dense and flexible, it has some heavy weight to it, very sturdy and durable. I've had it installed since June 2022 and it's holding up as if it's new.

The explanation I was given was that "Due to Supply chain issues" many of the 2022 did not get them installed, yet they were given to the customers without them not letting them know they were missing some of these parts (this was from one of the reps at the parts department)

It may look nice but in the end, it is just a "beauty cover" impeding air flow to the top of the engine. It is useless! I have driven this vehicle and there rely isn't any engine noise anyway just the vibration this engine is known for, mostly at idle. At least with the AC on it doesn't really make it any worse.

After having mine on for over 9mo I would tend o agree...I don't notice any significant change in engine noise.

@@virgolife Exactly. All that thing does is trap heat and make the head and coil packs hotter. You want to have as much air flow to the engine as possible and that thing not only impedes the airflow to the parts it covers, it TRAPS the heat and makes the engine HOTTER.

I just installed mine - being that it is foam you could be right - should have just been a thin piece of plastic to dress up the engine bay and not of foam that will trap heat - perhaps the original intent of the foam was to somewhat mitigate the fact there are no engine pads on these various models from Escape Bronco Sport Maverick etc.
