I love the look of your sewing room and sewing table! When I see tables with cutouts like this I have to ask, what happens if you get a different sewing machine that isn't the same size though? Yes, you can cut a larger hole but what happens if you want to use a smaller machine?

❤Great video I've been looking at alternative ideas to buying the extremely expentive sewing tables online and creating the flush top sewing area. This video is the perfect solution. One question. What is the knee lift used for? Thanks for the best idea ever. Your sewing table turned out beautifully.

That cutting table is beautiful, but for me I would not put fat quarters in the drawers for me I would be putting cutting notions and rulers and other things other than fabric. But that how I would utilize it. Beautiful room thought.

Thank you for your video Andrea. Your father in law does beautiful work. After watching your video it inspired me to do the same with a small drop leaf Sauder sewing table. Granted, it is nothing like yours but it’ll do the job. I have a very small sewing/office room.

Excellent!!!!!! I may have to change my mind again about my sewing table. I need something that will not shake and vibrate when my machine is running. I'm excited again, and it wont be as expensive as I originally thought.

What if you don't have enough backing fabric to fold it and sew?
@homewithandreasims4335
@homewithandreasims4335 2 жыл бұрын
This is the "normal process" for how to make backings-with only one seam or one whole wide backing. You can certainly piece backings though and I have known many quilters who essentially make a backing from larger scraps. It is totally fine!

Your oak table gave me an idea: I am moving and my dining oak table will be too big but now I am thinking about use it for my sewing room. Did you lowered the height of the table legs or if you keep it normal ??
@homewithandreasims4335
@homewithandreasims4335 2 жыл бұрын
Sorry for the late response! I kept it normal dining height. I am on the taller side but the regular height with the machine dropped in meant my shoulders could be totally relaxed.
