I heard about something called Waggle that monitors the temperature in your rig while you shop or hike. Sends alerts to phone and tells u the temp.

Dianne was my inspiration. I bought a 30' bluebird, wood cabin look interior and even an RV door. We've been full time for two years, now. Just wanna say thanks.

Hello! Just seeing your videos! I was wondering what you guys thought about saving money on window inserts by salvaging 24 or 26 gauge sheet metal from Ac units for window inserts as opposed to buying new steel? I understand the bus is skinned at 18 gauge mostly, but i found spray foam for a really great price, basically best quality for half the price. So because of the foam's rigidness, i am thinking that will compensate for the thinner gauge? [I am also doing individual window inserts to make them more rigid.]Would love to hear your thoughts on this! I live in florida and there's a hurricane hitting this week so finding plywood or steel has not been easy. Luckily i found 2 9 ft by 6 ft ac units for $300 [ i just have to demo them myself which has been.. fun LOL] For context: we wanted to stretch this over a few years of building, but due to a foundational mold issue in our apartment, we are going to try for sooner. This put us a bit more budgeted if that makes sense] Going this route, i'll have only spent $500 to do all of my 16 window inserts and the spray foam, and will still have scrap steel left over.

Sadly, program does not work the same for free. You can not just click on the dimensions to change--I think you have to upgrade to a paid subscription to be able to do that--got very frustrating after 30 minutes just trying to get the correct measurements doing as you instructed.

Just curious, anyone else have longer term usage updates on this technique? We used it and the adhesive is not holding up to the heat even in the PNW. Not sure if someone has found a better way to stick these or if you just redo it every 3-ish years.

I LOVE your magnetic knife holder. If one happens to come loose from the magnet, it drops into the recess onstead of falling off the wall and onto a counter top. Genius! Patent that and make some money!

OMG! I did almost exactly the same thing to my 98 Trooper! Living in the PNW, I took mine to see the 2017 eclipse in Eastern Oregon! Camping in Montana mountains one time, a side-by-side stopped by at sunset and said, "Be sure you have protection out here - wildlife in the mountains, you know..." I took with me a "Luggable Loo," double-bag it, and use kitty litter in it. I also have a nylon fabric changing tent for toilet or shower privacy, the $30 kind that is on wire inside supports that collapses down to a flat round cloth Frisbee about 20" across. Zips into a nice flat bag. My raised platform is just for one, so is only 34" wide. That gives me room to sit with legs down behind the passenger seat, for putting shoes on and off, etc. Then, I also made fine-mesh screen-door-screen screen material covers for the back door windows, and used Goop to stick strip magnets to the top and bottom so they hold on to the outside of the door frame. No-see-ums can be a nuisance at night. For the sides of the screens, I just use several small magnets I, too, hooked up a strip of LED lights along the plastic trim above one back door and back to the corner, held in place easily with plastic "shoehorn" pieces every few inches, scavenged (cut) from clear plastic bottles. They tuck into where the trim meets the headliner, and the lights are tucked up behind the exposed bottle-plastic. Have fun with each other and your doggos! Be safe! Oh - amazing scenery photography there. Nice stuff.

90 % of people that go into bus life quit it within six months. This is and was an awesome build. There really is no way that you can know some of these things until you have lived them. Case in point .....This guy "bless his heart " moved out of his Skoolie in less time than it took for him to build it. A real Nomad is a rare individual, if this is you.... good for you. It is Not for the average person or, for the faint of heart. It is much more difficult than the sedentary life style of a brick and mortar home. Have you ever been on a vacation where you needed a few days to unwind afterwards just to rest up and regroup. Life on the road can leave you always feeling like your living for some unattainable location where your hoping tomorrow that you will get there. This is one subject where busses ,( in most situations ), LESS IS BEST. There is a reason why the short busses are the most demanded. I'm NOT a full timer. There is no perfect bus. Being content with what you have, is not something that we in this American culture are very good at at all. I couldn't imagine living with two dogs, a wife, traveling with a car and a big bus and working on the road, making all the myriad of decisions every day, at this stage of my life. I would have to be able to stop and regroup, go home and relax and have a more sustainable routine. I think the best way to experience this would be to rent a small class C rv and try it for a month. Start as small as possible and grow. Major on the majors.. How well do you sleep? Do you like where you are today. How safe do you feel. Are meals and preparation for them feel normal. Find out what your pet peeves are, and fix them. If they are too hard to fix then major changes will have to be made to have this life style be sustainable. Good luck all. May the force be with you.

I loved your bus build. The conversion is amazing. The hubby has such a soothing voice that for the first in watching these types of videos, I actually watched the entire video straight through. Usually, I just ff to the interior and then jump off the video. But not this time. I’m in beginnings of moving back (I live in Minneapolis, MN) South to build my tiny house on my parents land but looking at your video, I feel inspired to do more. Thanks so much for the inspiration!! 💖💖

Your presentation rocks. Minimal live, tho you did that wonderfully. I like the slowFAST video and voiceover. Too many people do all live and it meanders. I want to say perfect size for bus. Fun accoutrements, kitsch, materials. You put the FUN in functional. Nice mix, heavy on homey but you got your tech goin' on. Wood stove!!!! Live edge! Did you share your mileage? Awesomeness! Well done. Thanks for sharing.
