The problem with collecting is that it becomes addicting. You constantly need new stimulus with new figures. Older figures become boring and new figures are a must have. However, it's hard to get rid of the old ones and hordng tendencies show up. Glad I dont have this problem.

Great video and I liked the presentation. The figures that we shared in my Top Ten included Iron Fist, Sabretooth, Superior Spider-Man and Ms. Marvel. My #1 Marvel Legend for 2024 was the Punisher from the Punisher/Bushwacker two pack. My criteria included 1) definitive look (costume/build), 2) head sculpts/accessories and 3) character importance.

For me it surprisingly goes to a design i hate. Deluxe Let There Be Carnage. This thing waa made with pure love. The sculpt, towering height, plethora of accessories and fair price point mads him an absolute must buy. I hated his look in the movie as i thought he was way too tall and too dark a red. But the figure is so accurate to the movie ajd so loaded with articulation and playability that i couldnt resust buying him. I display him as a "powered up" Carnage that requires both Spidey and Venom to take him down

I think this should have been called the Best Marvel specifically, because there were no other figure lines mentioned. But, that’s neither here nor there, because your spot on brother! Your Marvel list is damn near identical to my ML top ten! The challenge is weighing Marvel legends gems against other lines like the DLX Iron Man line, Mafex, Jada Toys, Hasbro GI Joe, Mythic Legions (their Cosmic Legions & Figura Obscure line), Mezco and the top three of Mcfarlane pieces (he only made 3 bangers to me, despite his constant drops 🙄) to make a inclusive Top ten list! That was the big challenge this year! Across the board it has been a hell of a year for the 6inch/ one 12 collector with so many damn gems dropped in 2024🤓👊🏾✨

Your list is impecable. I mostly agree with you. She hulk, wolverine/sabertooth, phoenix, luke cage/iron fist, and danny ketch ghost rider. I dont have the astonishing wolverine yet. I read that run of astonishing xmen, so i am invested in that line. Also, like you i cant wait to get my hands on that version of cable. Probably one figure that i was really happy to get the king pin re-release. Much needed in my spiderman shelf. I havent gotten my hands warbird yet, but she is needed in my collection. I just went around my apartment checking the dust situation. - It seems like the lower and higher shelves have less dust than the medium height shelves in here, at about 3-4 feet is where I find the most dust surprisingly. If I had to speculate, I'd say dust entirely depends on (A) How air is circulated in your house. (B) Proximity to windows, doors, pets, and people. and (C) The climate in your area. I live in Washington and because it's humid and rains often here, there really isn't much dust outside of summer months, but the other concern is humidity. I used to live in Idaho and you couldn't go a week without getting a visible layer of dust on all surfaces. Probably quite a few variables in that equation. Thanks for the display tips though man, I'm rearranging stuff to make room for some kind of temporary display better than what I have going. To me, lighting is everything, if you can't see it, it's not really displayed. I usually don't like stuff to be lower either but I have a work bench in my apartment where I have my TV, it has a 2ft by 4ft bottom shelf so it has some depth with a poster behind it of the great pyramids and some red and blue vertical light sticks on either side, it actually looks great for my Transformers display, thankfully that spot doesn't pick up vibrations and is perfectly visible from my futon couch. I only really have that one wall to work with so I gotta utilize all that space and somewhow maybe put risers on the top shelf to display my Spawn figures. I have no established spot to put my DC Multiverse, G.I. Joe, and Lego though, there is some wall space. Even though it's a temporary display for me, it's still fun to do for a weekend project. I think glass shelves look great. Unity and balance are an important part of any art or display. You kinda lose a sense of scale when you put everything on just the wall, or just the wood shelves. I like the variety you got going for sure.

Hi, I'm Trey. everyone: (Hi, Trey.) I started collecting figures in November of 2024... It started with just rescuing a peg warmer Legacy United Starscream at Target and now I'm about $2K deep in about 6 different toy lines and I almost didn't make rent for January. That was rock bottom, like a week ago. I'm about 4 days sober from adding to my Pile of Loot, and about 1 day sober from adding things to my watchlist. I've cancelled Amazon Prime and I'm developing a limited collectibles budget. Now I am honestly very motivated to find side hustles in order to fund my new a̶d̶d̶i̶c̶t̶i̶o̶n̶ hobby. I am also now enrolled in a college credit course and am finally thinking long term about my career because I realized that I want to be able to afford nice things for myself and God-willing, my future family, and at the very least, not have to worry about basic bills, so I'm taking action now, stress from inflation and high taxes be damned. What am I going to do otherwise? Enjoy my hundreds of figures from within a tiny overpriced apartment still working a dead end job with no room for growth in 20 years time? Hell no. If that's you or if that scares you, it's time to rethink what this is all about. My binge on figure collecting, among other things, taught me a lot and honestly contributed to me shifting my outlook, and rethinking my careless strategy in life (or lack thereof), so I don't regret anything. (Plus I have a lot of cool stuff now that I only dreamt of as a kid.) But I write this long comment so that people like me maybe won't have to learn these lessons the hard way: >Make sure you are spending within your means, not cutting into your grocery budget like me because you'd rather live on popcorn and ramen and have that DC Multiverse Batman & Spawn figure 2-pack instead of maintaining proper health and buying some freakin stuff to make sandwiches at least. >Spending money on others or straight up saving for the future is difficult but overall a lot more satisfying for your heart and soul, a practice we must utilize or else all this is just meaningless consumerism. >Don't let the need to get everything you want control you simply because you fear it won't be there tomorrow, there will be more, there will be cooler versions eventually, maybe even better license holders and producers, so don't worry. Even stuff that's pricey now will eventually go down in value and someone will put up their stuff for sell eventually. >We don't get to take this stuff into the afterlife anyway, don't forget that. We are writing our eulogy with every choice we make, everyday. Value life experience above colorful plastic sculptures. >Be all the more grateful for what you do have and the fact that you are even comfortable enough to not have want for food over that next figure on your wishlist. >Be excellent to each other. >And pray that Disney sells the rights to Marvel and Star Wars to a company that actually respects those intellectual properties. So wrong about superior iron man. The only way to pose him with the face head sculpt which is amazing. Evil Ironman is awesome. He isn’t some suit for the 616 tony stark hall of armor.
